I was in europe a few months ago, and after traveling with a client, spent a couple weeks touring. beforehand, I had zurich suggested to me by a member of the forum as a "good place to work because so many people hire there" (or some such sentiment).

but like you, when advertising, I also saw the RM warning and decided to skip the city. one rarely sees that sort of statement from RM, and I didn't want to be nervous and feel like I was averting a set up with each zurich lead / appointment. being set up once was enough for me.

I have friends from Czech who work Zurich....several are working there now. It's legal to escort but the issue is a work permit to work there. I think a couple guys were turned in for not working with a work permit. There has been an influx of Brazilians they say but I haven't noticed. Maybe it's not as much an issue for EU citizens? I don't see a warning on RM now.

My last time there was November.

Correct EU citizens can work in Switzerland for 90 days without a work permit. They only need one for longer periods. I am not sure about EFTA citizens.

Other nationalities are not allowed to work in Switzerland without a permit.
