I have a trip planned to Atlanta for March 1st - 3rd. I was hoping to see if anyone lives in the area and can provide some info/details on things to do. Of course I am planning on spending a lot of time at Swinging Richards but was wondering what other options there are in the city for clubs with go go dancers, bathhouses, escorts, cruising spots and so on. Any info is much appreciated! You guys are the experts!

I didn't know about swinging Richards when I went, but found out about it because of a documentary that was on I believe prime video. Good watch if you want to know more about that club.

 

I stayed at the shearton downtown. Hotel was nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying at any downtown hotel, the area is completely dead at night.

Try BJ Roosters for go go dancers in underwear on the bar and booths with curtains for lap dances. Don't expect muscles dudes or the same quality as SR but usually fun. I've found the dancers to be very friendly.

Atlanta was always a place as a closeted gay guy, I could find some fun. Haven't been in years since Metro, and other places closed. Like to return again but wouldn't know where to go

Jeju is a Korean spa. If you're not familiar it's basically as spa where wet areas are separated by gender. You're required to be naked in those areas however you must wear your uniform in the co Ed areas and it's optional in the locker room. It's required to be worn in the sleeping areas for gender as well. Security frequents the wet zone on occasion so no funny business there. It's kinda odd to see some guy in full security uniform garb walking around everyone else naked.

 

Anyway it's a cool experience. Super hot steam. They have scrubs and massages as well. They are not private in that the room is off to itself but you may be getting a scrub and a guy next to you could get a massage. They cover your junk so you can be less worried about a random boner but they are not going to release it.

 

Jeju is super busy though but there's a lot of nice bodies to notice because of. The food is pretty good. They serve until 2am.

 

Alternatively you can try Gangnam. It's a smaller place but if you want to relax it's better. Now here the staff is also smaller. So depending on when you go you may be able to get a quick feel on another guy but it's not private enough to have any major action at all.

 

Qi Clay is all male. 3 steam rooms, salt rooms and sauna. Play is allowed. No spa services offered. You will need to bring your own party supplies if you plan to play around. Mostly guys just jo there but I've seen more than that often. Mid days and after 5 during the week and weekends up to around 5 is peak time. Usually 30+ crowd there.

 

I haven't been able to Flex or Tokyo Valentino. There are a few branches of TV but likely you want the main one off of Cheshire Bridge. Which pretty much is Atlanta's red district because either on it or adjacent to it there's manifest4u (gay sex club) and The Den (gay sex club that caters to men of color but all are welcome), dirty book stores, stripper supply stores , a leather gear shop, and strip clubs.

I was in ATL on Sunday and swung by BJ Roosters. There were about 10 dancers that covered the spectrum; Black, Latino, Asian, white, twink, twunk, muscles. I had a great time. Very friendly bartenders. It always feels like BJs is more down to earth than Swinging Richards, but maybe it’s just me. The only downside to BJs is that the heat wasn’t working the night I was there, but the Gogo boys made the best of it. Private’s, in my experience, are a much better value at BJs than SRs.

I too enjoy spending time at bj's, but I'm afraid the club hasn't had heat for some time now.

I was at Swinging Richards last weekend. If driving, parking will cost you $5. Entrance is $15 before 10pm, $20 after. Dancers will filter in throughout the night and will dance in groups loosely based on body type, etc. Lap dances in the main area are $10/song. A more interactive experience will cost you $15 for a wrist band which allows entry to VIP lounge where a lap dance is $20-24/song. It's a little confusing tho. Officially you must buy "dick dollars" to pay dancer, $24 each. However while in the lounge I approached a dancer and told him I needed to buy some and he said no problem...$20 cash. I restrict my visits to lap dances only and have no experience with the more private areas. Prices are clearly posted. I have never been disappointed with my visits and find there's a variety of dancers to keep me interested. Although I have never felt pressured or victimized by a dancer, be aware that these guys are there to make money. With your budget I feel you could have a great time and buy as much fun and interaction you can take. Have fun!

My regular visited me yesterday, and according to him, the "Dick Dollars" thing at Swinging Richards is done and gone. What he told me is the dancers went on strike to get rid of it. @Leo Hammond can you confirm this?

 

@Trister43 I forget what it costs to rent a private room, but last I was there it was $100 per 15 minutes to the dancer. Each dancer if you get more than one Which I've done exactly once.

I've not been to SR in longer than I've wanted, so what I know is via my regular who mostly gets it from an Atlanta buddy of his who goes more often. That tells you I'm not relaying first hand.

 

According to what I'm told, a lot of the experienced regulars are gone. Where is is always attrition, the 'feeling' was that management was showing them the door. So there are not as my experienced guys showing the new guys the ropes - how to spot and approach a man sitting and watching. The straight dancers were also more interested in the women there, even if the women didn't tip.

 

There are some skills needed to be a dancer, that skill seems thin at SR now.

I agree that the vibe at SR seems a little off. Perhaps the new procedure for lap dances was affecting the experience in a negative way. I'm pleased they have decided to end the "dick dollar" experiment. I enjoyed some time with a dancer with a bulging chest as described. He was shy and stated he was from Cuba. Fun!

I had an amazing time tonight at swinging Richards. I had sexerak private dances with Cooper, Rico, Jason and Miller. All were awesome. You just have to go in knowing what you’re getting into. It’s a strip club. You’re going to spend money. Once you figure that out, you’ll have a great time. Dick dollars are gone. It’s 20 bucks for a private dance well worth it.

Went last weekend and had a good time, though the vibe is definitely different. It just doesn’t have the energy it used to. Not as many hot dancers with good stage moves either. Several of them just stood around while up there, not even trying to dance.

 

I didn’t do VIP because personally I’d rather just hire an escort. It would be nice if some of them were on RM!

There are several who are willing to go home with you. The prices can be a little outrageous for some... but others reasonable and comparable to RM.
