'What if gays went on strike?'

Just saw a tease on Arts & Entertainment, 11DEC they are showing a program titled this. Figure it is about our financial/political clout, but maybe more. (What if rentboys went on strike!)

Anyone interviewed or have further on this program?

I read this question before and it is indeed thought provoking.

 

If every gay worker went on strike for one day, the public would be inconvenienced, but it would not be a big deal.

 

But - if it was possible to organize a strike of every gay worker as well getting every gay person to not purchase a single item, for a period of one week - that would make those straights sit up and take notice.

 

Chances of that happening? About the same as getting Bush to make sames sex marriage legal.

Actually, the title is "Wedding Wars" and it is a made-for-TV movie starring John Stamos ("ER" and "Full House") as a gay wedding planner who comes to resent the fact that laws don't permit him to have a wedding of his own. He gets involved in a national protest calling for gay marriage, in which gays would go "on strike" so others would know just how many of us there are.

 

Shows December 11th on A&E.

maybe get rid of politacally based "Marriage" all together and seperate politics from religeon as was in the original constructs of this country and it's making and make religious marriage unions seprate and under the doctrines of each religion that people might join under? Make Personal union... "Partnership" that entitles both to inheritance, tax breaks, insurance benefits the standard?
