I guess I am missing the point. If it had been an average looking hetersexual man, then what? Hypotheticals and guessing how someone would react is always risky and suspect. Almost as risky as guessing someone's motives.

RE: One thick crock.

"How thick are you?"

Thick enough. But how daft are you?

"I didn't compare Clay with Pitt. I have already explained that yet you continue to say I made that comparison."

A comparative is slightly different than a comparison. Reading carefully, apparently, is not MY problem.

"Now it turns out Kelly and Regis have both touched each other's faces on air. So what about this much-vaunted (by you) union rule against touching actors' faces. What a crock!"

Obviously, you don't work in television and still see everything in black and white. What can anyone say about your childish, defensive attitude. As far as I can see, you're the crock.

I didn't bother drawing attention to your use of the term "comparative" but since you reiterate the word I would merely point out that it is an adjective and you should have used the noun "comparison", but I have long observed how ill-acquainted you are with proper grammar.

The only one quoting "black and white" union rules was you and how Brad would never transgress such rules. Maybe he wouldn't although frankly I don't think he even knows all those rules but obviously Regis and Kelly have broken them.

I still maintain my opinion Kelly reacted in a homophobic way and Rosie called it right.

Both Clay AND Kelly were wrong. They acted and reacted badly, causing someone like Rosie to speak on behalf of the whole gay community.

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Clay: Even if you're a closeted bottom, you still need to treat a lady like a lady.

Kelly: You spoiled bitch. If you didn't want his hand on your mouth, you should have bitten the damn thing off. Next time, just grin and play it off. That's your job. Tact, it's what's for dinner.

Rosie: Stay off of Broadway and please spare us your radical views on how the gay community functions.

Regis: NEVER, i repeat, NEVER let an American Idol'er guest host for you again. If you're wanting an overtly gay man to fill your chair, why not just ask Richard Simmons. He'd be more entertaining and would surely have some woman in the audience crying about how much weight she lost with 'Sweatin' to the Oldies.'

"And I thought, yeah, if that had been Brad Pitt (instead of Clay Aiken), would Kelly have said that about HIS (Brad's) hand." written by Luv2play

My use of the word "comparative" is being used as an adjective to describe the above statement written by you, Luv2play. Just because the word "statement" does not appear after "comparative" doesn't mean there's no noun for the adjective to modify.

"but I have long observed how ill-acquainted you are with proper grammar"

Thank you for the laugh, you thick crock. With you, my work here is done.
