Eating And Driving

I think it's a bad combination whether in the driver's suit or as a passenger.

 

In the recent episode of "Magnum P.I." Magnum's two best friends were driving. The one in the passenger seat was eating using chop sticks. Imagine if the driver had to slam on the brakes? YIKES!!!

Once upon a time in the 80's, I had an expensive Polo shirt. Because this was in L.A., I drove a lot and ate sometimes while I was driving. One pita-falafel-full of grease dribbled on that Polo shirt and ruined that expensive shirt. End of me eating while driving!

We had a four hour drive home so my friend wanted to stop so he could get a fish sandwich with extra tartar sauce to eat it in my car. Big mistake!

Years back I had visited a friend (an hour away) and was driving home late at night. I was hungry so I stopped at Taco Bell and got a burrito. I made a mess of it!

Currently, DWE refers to Driving While Eating for me. Hopefully, it's a good many years before it also stands for Driving While Elderly.
