What makes you say he's bitter, glutes? He seems to have maneuvered himself into a tight spot, but he didn't seem bitter to me, at least in the quick read I gave.

my quick observations from the article and incident:

as far as bitter, only the part that came across as bitter is from the lack of support from 'Human Rights Campaign or The Gay and Lesbian Victory Fund'. Personally, I don't know why either organization would reach out to him, so I am confused by his (and article author's) expectations.

 

I'm no fan of outing and my impression from the article is he didn't seem to have any regrets or doubts about outing someone. Just wished he had planned it better.

 

Interesting he couldn't have left it with the outing, but now he is providing details of activities they did together.

 

Doesn't seem to regret or have any remorse for serving as a drug dealer.

 

Interesting about the pics I have seen of him in this article or elsewhere. He is the one who took this public, yet full-on face shots seem to be limited of him by the press.

Perhaps MIke will have to work at getting on the HIGH ROAD of BEING!

That is having more concern for the other people, then just following the herd in furthering an agenda, that is not even a personal concern.

He made a choice. Exposing hypocrisy hurting our community versus honoring a commitment of silence. Weighing greater good against private harm while realizing the effect it would have on his business.

 

I admire his private moral compass that he came to the decision he did. He does have to live with consequences of his decision, but don't we all with decisions of morality and ethics in our life.
