Under $150 isn't a deal breaker just reason for more caution. If he's brand new, or not in one of the big and notoriously expensive cities, and looks hot, I'd give him a try. $250 is normally the high end of my range, $280 or a real hottie who's well reviewed, $300 is off of my radar scope.

 

"Rate Varies" will seldom elicit an inquiry from me.

Sadly my playtimes are almost always in big cities.

 

Even when otherwise it seems not to work out. Two years ago I spent time in Appleton, WI (near Neenah, Menasha and Kaukauna!). Total drought. Then, a week after I left, 2 incredible hotties popped up on americanmale.net. What can you do.

I agree with many of the comments. I can think of one more thing: a pic with the guy giving the finger. It doesn't endear him to me at all.

1. Any ad with "top" or "dominant top" I like my guys versatile.

 

1.a. Guys who say "call me" or "I don't check/have e-mail" or "no e-mail."

 

2. Guys who claim to be "bisexual" or "straight".

 

3. Ads where the pictures are the same year, after year, after year....

 

4. The same pics used by the same guy with aliases for each site he posts his pics.

 

5. Some escorts don't seem to age either, one guy here in DC has been "23" for at least six years.

 

6. Guys seeking porn star rates in excess of $250 who are not porn stars.

 

7. Sites that have a tone of arrogance or request client pics before meeting. Then make you fill out a questionaire and have a ton of rules or requirements for hiring them.

 

8. Smoking or PNP listed in the ads.

 

9. Cheesy photos taken with a camera phone in front of a mirror.

I used to take issue with the "rate vaires" guys but of late my experience with this has been more positive. I have hired guys with this listed in their ads and felt very satisfied with the rates we have agreed on. The rates have been less than what they have been reviewed for in several instances. Consequently I don't pass those ads by any longer.
