Hey guys,

Need some advice. What’s a polite way to ask your regular for a referral without insulting him?

I like my regular, but he decided to stop bottoming. Lately I have the urge. Thought about three way but not sure if I want spend on two. Any advice?

That happened with me also. Because I had been with my regular so long I felt comfortable starting out the conversation simply asking him if he really did not want to bottom any more. Then I explained that I wanted to top at times so was thinking of engaging a bottom. As he was not available, did he know of anyone that I would feel comfortable with in that capacity? I just said that I figured that he knew my tastes and comfort levels. I think he was actually glad that I asked him as I continued to see him as a top. He gave me three names and I ended up with one of them. Of course, if he had said "no", I would have taken it from there. I would have looked through RM for the looks I might like and then do my search on Daddy R. and in the Forum.

Is there a reason you think a referral would yield a better result than looking for a new guy on your own? No matter how politely you put it, he's unlikely to be motivated to send you to the best guy he knows.

Asking a provider for a referral to another provider in the same business is tricky. In the case @jitalianjay describes, the escort is no longer providing a service he uses. I think @TruthBTold has given a very respectful way of approaching it. The regular escort undoubtedly knows his client wants to top occasionally, so this is not a client wanting to stop seeing an escort, just find a way to get a service that escort no longer provides.

 

This is a case where I think asking for a referral is acceptable. You should know your regular well enough to have a gage of what he will think of the question.

 

@FreshFluff , I think a good regular escort would be motivated to help a good regular client fill a service that escort no longer provides. There is a risk the new escort will steal all the business yes, but the good will generated by a good referral is better.

My reason for asking for a referral is that my regular knows me very well and knows my preference in bed. Therefore, he may know someone he has worked with before or in the network.
