in answer to the question instigating this post...... NEVER. I also refuse to observe a holiday on the date my employer has adjusted it so that it falls on a Monday or a Friday..... Veterans/Armistice Day on other than Nov 11.... Blasphemy !!!

My father was born on 12 October. And that's when we celebrated and not the second Monday in October!
