I watched "State Trooper" set in Nevada. Now I've moved on to Arizona and am watching "Sheriff of Cochise". Both series from the 1950s.

In the episode I just watched two bad guys flee to a Mexican border town. The border is just feet away from the town. They are flashing American money in the cantina. So the Mexican chief-of-police calls the sheriff. The sheriff arrives at the town; he parks on the US side. The chief and the sheriff go into the cantina. There is a gunfight. The chief kills one of the bad guys. The sheriff puts the handcuffs on the other. As the three walk to the border the bad guy tells the sheriff that he can't take him across the border without extradition. The sheriff uncuffs him. The sheriff crosses the border. The chief tells the bad guy that he shouldn't be there and pushes him across the border where the sheriff arrests him. Good show!
