Can any one give us current information on San Jaun....Escorts, places to stay and visit....and of course places to eat and drink.....Site addresses would be greatly appreciated...Thanks:)

I was in San Juan during the latter part of the nineties; apparently the whole gay scene has changed tremendously since then. My friend and I stayed in a gay guesthouse in Condado (sp) right across the street from the gay beach. The venue was fine; the ambience great; and the community in which this lodging was located was somewhat affluent looking. We went to restaurants, gay clubs, etc., but again, all has changed from what this friend revealed to me a year ago!

 

I hope for you and others that current information will be placed here.

Puerto Rico IS part of the U.S.A. However, there have been posts about San Juan in the Escorts South forum, so it would be a good idea to use the "search" feature in that forum to locate information.

During the 70s I heard tales of a gay brothel just outside of San Juan that apparently was quite the place. Any recollections?

 

San Juan and St. Thomas were major gay destinations then and in the '60s. I think St. Thomas is largely if not entirely off the gaydar screen, no?

There was one hottie at http://www.men4rentnow.com under Puerto Rico; this guy is based in San Juan but travels to the mainland periodically. You might desire to check him out and ask him about the happenings in Puerto Rico.

San Juan and Puerto Rico in general is not big on escorts. I should know, I live here. There are a few that advertise in men4rentnow as the previous poster stated, but I doubt that they live here. Gay life is alive and well, but escorts are something else... You could check out the San Juan Star (Sunday edition under massages, etc) there are some guys who advertise and from what I have heard their "massages" are pretty intense. There is a Steamworks in Old San Juan if you like that sort of experience. Good luck!

Steamworks, as previously mentioned, is a bathhouse in old San Juan that is operated by the same company that has one in Chicago.

 

St. Thomas is no longer the gay destination that it used to be but St. Croix is very gay friendly. Not much in the way of gay bars etc., there but two great gay or gay friendly hotels and a very friendly island.

The last time I was in San Juan, which was 1998, the street boy scene was thriving! I hope that is still the case, as wtf, street boys are most times waaaay better than online escorts! :7
