R.I.P. Windamar Resort Fort Lauderdale

Just learned that another Florida Gay Institution has been sold. The Windamar was clothing optional and a bit randy with its Video Room. They had renovated the rooms and fixed it up in recent years but the owners must have decided to cash out as they got $4Million for it. It will now be a straight resort. I hope some members have a few happy memories of the place.

...or will it now be a "straight resort"? Isn't the predominant orientation of hotel guests up to, I don't know, the hotel guests? I know when a XXX theatre was renovated and re-opened as a theater with first-run children's movies, it was a gigantic bust (pun intended) near where I used to live because nobody wanted to take their families to a former porn place. "Straight" resorts are more than a dime a dozen.
