I think it's kind of fuzzy statistics to include "emotional abuse" as "domestic violence." It could rise to that level or it could simply be the person being a garden-variety asshole.

I was surprised that the physical/sexual violence figure was the same as that experienced by straight women. I would have expected it to be slightly higher given men on average are more inclined to physical violence.

This kind of statistic always surprises me. I just can't imagine any of the gay men I know being violent in relationships.

 

Straight men abusing women, I believe it. Gay men... can't be true. We're the good guys.
