If you are not a member there, or a guest of a member, you simply don't get in. There a door men who verify your membership.

 

When the NYAC was a men-only club, members swam nude in the pool. Also, certain times of the week members worked out nude in the gym. The idea was to create a Greco-Roman ambience. All of that disappeared when women were admitted as members.
