recently, someone wrote on the message forum the following about me:

“...at what age or after which experience or after what achievement did this guy regard himself as "Legendary" ??....Did he declare that himself or did a client first refer to him as such......I know nothing about the guy.....just curious.”

since he seems so curious, I’ll explain how the Legendary moniker came to be. I've been asked this by clients sometimes too, so I bet there are others out there who are wondering this as well.

(put your head in my lap, son... this will take a few minutes, and we both should be, um, comfortable... heh heh).

I was once told by a client after a particular experience that I was “amazing." I laughed and said thanks. he said something like, "no really, you are phenomenal. I'd heard about you before, but didn't think it'd be like this. you are really amazing - actually, you're legendary.”

I didn't assume the moniker until about a year later. I was re-doing my website and was changing the URL, too. figuring branding might be good, I recalled that guy saying that, and so amongst other ideas, came up with "The Legendary Dave". I thought about what other people had said about me, and weighed what felt seemed right. "Amazing Dave" seemed ridiculous, and a little magician-like. other terms seemed over the top, but "Legendary" sounded good to me. looking it up to see if I was interpreting it in the correct way, I found this:

I liked the 2nd definition there: "Remarkable enough to be famous; very well known."

especially the usage example,
‘her wisdom in matters of childbirth was legendary’

now, I don't do much with women and childbirth as an escort, but I have taught about sex in various countries all over the world (subjects are at that link) - and I suppose I'm sought after because I have the knowledge and am willing to share it. I have taught at sex centers and sex conferences, in universities, for private groups, and even for individuals. one of my most well-known classes was HOW TO WH0RE... which I no longer keep on the page, due to the turning tide of the internet after the rentboy bust three years ago, and continuing to this day with fosta-sesta. meanwhile, I have more reviews than any male escort I know - and no, I don't pay for them. also, I'm known for my work as an activist within the sex worker movement. I've received accolades from Daddy himself (DaddysReviews dot com) as well as the owner of Rentmen dot com. and I'm lucky to have many friends who are well known in the sex industry, from male and female porn stars to some of the most sought-after escorts in the world. what I've accomplished and contributed to the escort industry/adult industry has made me Legendary. somehow, I became "famous" and "very well known".

after launching the website and using the moniker The Legendary Dave for a year or so, I got a lot of positive feedback, so I kept it. sure, once in a while there’s still someone who'll jump on the (admittedly) rather ballsy name. at this point though, I think it's a hell of a lot better than calling myself names like these:

TheBestInTown, SexyBabe, HotGuy, BestInTheBiz, TheStud, AlexUrFantasy, KingSmigitto, DreamBoyy, Cool Guy.

those are all actual working names that I've just pulled off an escort site - and although I'm sure some of these guys are amazing, none of those names would be names I'd personally be comfortable with.

I sincerely hope that explains my own rationale behind the moniker.

in the end, names of most escorts are made up. Rod Target is not likely to be Rod Target... his real name may be Marvin Norkowski. but he knows that won’t attract as much attention as the working name he’s taken. give him space, and let him give you (his) Rod. and just like shopping for other things, if you don't fancy his name, move on. you get that choice.

as for not knowing anything about me...

“I know nothing about the guy.....just curious.”

what about going to DaddysReviews to see what’s there?

also, I’d encourage you to visit my website. don’t worry, it’s not all one-sided. In addition to an in-depth description of myself, rates, and photos, there’s a good deal of info on sex in general, tips for contacting me, and a link to hiring and being with escorts, created by someone else. but since you weren’t asking me directly about me, perhaps the thing you might find most helpful are the reviews by others (there’s about 250 posted there, all under the “Why” tab).

xxx,

Dave
