On another thread, someone suggested that one situation in which it isn't ethical to hire an escort is when it is financially inappropriate--like using the mrtgage money.

 

So Monday I was in NY and had some free time and really wanted to hire and escort, but would have to take a cash advance from a credit card, something I'm trying to not do any more. I finally decided to go for it anyway. I don't have free time in NY that often, and there aren't any young muscle-boy escorts near where I live. So just this time, I decided, I'll make an exception.

 

After a lot of review reading, I started calling. Must have called 7 or 8 guys. Four answered or called back promptly, and each one was out town or not available. The rest didn't call back until I had no time left.

 

So something was going on! Funny how things like that work out, isn't it?

I was the one who "suggested" it might not be ethical to use the mortgage payment to hire an escort, therefore I read your posting with a grin---not laughing at you, mind you--just amused at the situation and it's results.

I have to admit to being an atheist, and so what happened to you was certainly not "divine" but I'd like to think that sometimes things work out the way they do because 'that's just the way it was SUPPOSED to be.'

I've had those days... that rare opportunity, an open afternoon or evening at a time when the bank account can stand an impulse expenditure of a few hundred bucks. Then a quick perusal of ads, the compilation of a list of possibilities, dialing... and ending up with nothing. Passing strange, as hundreds of guys are working at this in NYC, that on any given afternoon or evening there seem to be none available! Is that divine fate intervening to save you the bucks?

I have had entire weekends like this!Treated myself to a hotel"in town"for a weekend and then not find anything to my liking to play with-and this is in Los Angeles!

Of course when I am on my way to an appointment or with friends there are beauties everywhere!

If that happened to me I would probably try Craig's List. Usually lots of guys available "right now". I know this would not give you the information the reviews do, but if you ask the right questions on the phone and follow your gut, you probably will come out OK.

I can empathize with you guys. I've tried to hire guys a few times myself, only to find that all I got were voicemails. The last time I tried to hire someone was a visiting porn star of whom I'm a fan. I called him around 8 and he said that he wouldn't be busy until around midnight: he clients lined up every hour on the hour. Kind of killed the fantasy knowing that he was just knocking 'em out like that.

 

Then there are times that I want to hire, but since I have a young playmate (out of the biz), I feel odd hiring someone older than him or not as cute. Sort of why buy (or should I say "rent") the cow...

 

Still, I like to hire. It feels like it serves some sort of karmic balance! LOL

This happens to me whenever I go to Toronto now. There was an escort that I used to hire, but he retired. Since he retired, every time I go to Toronto and I try to set something up, fate intervenes -- such as bad weather, escort cancelling, etc. I never had any luck in Toronto. I just go with the flow nowadays and just enjoy Toronto with its usual vices...
