I think it is a long standing urban legend that escorts either have created or have access to a data base that will give out info about potential clients, including their name, home address, occupation and whether they are generous, "time wasters", etc. I think he was messing with your mind when he said he got your last name from this "data base" . He probably just googled it particularly because you haven't said you have an unlisted # or use a burner phone which would have made googling very difficult. Your unusual last name just made it easier for him. I know there are services that promise, for a monthly fee, to give, for a monthly fee, all relevant data attached to the holder of a phone number but I think most of those services are scams and give out little, if any information, one could not find on their own. (I once googled one such business and found multiple complaints that once the 'business" had one's credit card #, it was virtually impossible to stop the monthly billing cycle.) Anyway, to return to the thrust of your question, I think the so-called data-base is as likely to exist as Brigadoon, Shangri-La or Bali Hai.
