In NYC it is a thing. Still. Especially, after the weed been legalized, it pretty common to smoke or/vape cannabis even if you don’t smoke nicotine based products. I’d say vaping is more popular than cigarettes.

Hey beautiful gentlemen. So I see that many of you are frequent at SPA’s and I’m wondering if there’s a reason behind it. I get the lower rates but after tipping it might end up close to the apartment studio or outcall rates. What are the reasons why you prefer or do one over the other? Does it depends on masseur, rates or circumstances? If you cannot host nor does the masseur, SPA is the only option. But is there anything else behind that? I have never been to SPA simply because I prefer private and intimate setting of an apartment studio or my own space if the masseur cannot host. Something about people lurking around in the SPA makes me tense. I did visit the SPA studio on 14 street when masseur was renting room there and it was fine but the rules and this whole thing about being quiet just rubs me against the grain a little bit. I suppose people will color the reasoning behind the background question based on their personality trait or life experiences. If one sees a rapist in every man and a witch in every woman the outcome of the conversation is obvious. Couple of my friends were through rough times in life based on their ethnicity or race and that leaves long lasting scars, hence their caution about that topic. Agree! Many people called me exotic and I couldn't even start counting how many times in my life I've been asked about my background. As @pubic_assistance said people "can't quite peg what ethnicity" I am. I blend easy with natives in many countries. My reaction to that question is based on context of prior conversation. I have many friends of different ethnicities and I did speak to them about it. We all agree that context is the key. It's not the best choice for a conversation starter or a small talk. But after a few words, If I feel genuine interest or I'm interested in that person myself I will gladly talk about it and more. If the question being asked out of boredom or as a silence filler, or they state that they are "good at pinning it down", I'll do my "inner eye-roll" and suggest them to guess. No-one could guess my background as of now and I doubt someone ever will. I guess it's my way to feel a little smug about that situation and I have no regrets 🙃 Just show us that you are not just "curious" but genuinely interested and the conversation will go smooth like butt-er.
