I can see that inflation may have had an effect on rates going up post-Covid. But I see a “legit” provider in Phoenix for $100 for 90 and he does stretching, hot stones and keeps it professional. His rate did increase $40 from pre-to-post Covid. I had another legit who pivoted to escort massages and I quit seeing him as his rates skyrocketed to $300 for a legit massage.

Not in Phoenix. The bad masseurs start around $125; the decent around $150; the escorts $250… The rotating travelers hardly ever get my business. I’ve definitely slowed down hiring based on the outrageous rates.

This has an impact on services, when customers make it easy for a pretty body or pretty face to make a quick buck because they want a cheap escort the rest of us suffer. I’ve literally thrown in the towel too. I haven’t hired in over a year. Same reason, 80% are just glorified escorts under the “masseur” flag.
