I've already seen Eric/Lucien once and will be back with him again soon. The location is clean and convenient, with a private spa room that is very close to Grand Central.
Yes, it is exclusively therapeutic. There's no real question or doubt about that. However, I will say that, despite it being a 100% therapeutic situation, my whole body and brain smiled after the session with him. It is an interesting ritual that is great if massage and nurturing are what you really crave. If you're looking for something else, you'll probably be disappointed. I will say wholeheartedly that Lucien creates a great experience that is centered on each client. His style is somewhat unique.
If you're going, I recommend you go with an open mind. If you have expectations beyond therapeutic, don't. In that way, you'll avoid disappointment and allow yourself to be present in the moment of an excellent therapy ritual that will leave you feeling emotionally renewed and connected. I don't say that often, if ever, about massage in NYC, unless I'm visiting Deo, who is a similar practitioner in massage style.
Hope this helps.
