I finally saw the movie. I just was confused about the ending a bit. SPOILER ALERT: I had to go online and read exactly how the real and copycat characters were swapped: While Adelaide drives the family away in the ambulance, she recalls the night she first met Red in the hall of mirrors. The doppelgänger choked Adelaide unconscious (damaging her larynx), dragged her underground, handcuffed her there, and returned above ground to take Adelaide's place, eventually learning to speak and adjusting. So that does explain how red is the only one of the "copycats" that speaks and why she talked like she did but it's just a little weird that they had both forgotten that they swapped places. Good thing then they deleted this scene out of the movie because you can see her grab her throat and talk a little weird but not to the point that red does: His next film comes out July 22, 2022 and he's teaming up again with Get Out's Daniel Kaluuya. I have seen this happen before. To have just lost a huge championship and be upset and then be given your second place award can be a little salt on the wound to some. I feel about this with tennis majors as well. I don't know why they make the runner up stay out there and get a second place award and have to watch the winner celebrate. You can tell sometimes they just wanna get the heck out.
