The California highway construction and maintnence agency (CALTRANS) decided to move up a replacement of bridges in the interchnage between US101 and I280 in San Francisco, knowing that traffic was going to be light. It had originally been scheduled for July, but working night and day, they did the underpining work in a couple of weeks, and then did replaceced the decks in about a week with further surface work ending this coming saturday.
