Just sharing in case it's helpful to anyone... I messaged RM support on March 1 about the payment options, and this is what they replied to me:

they recently removed the Crypto payment option, which had been my preference... I tried the "Paysafecard" option, but it does not work if you're based in the US. really unfortunate how limited the payment options have become

yeah, the roommate was in her bedroom - never saw her but heard her rustling around as i was leaving. wasn't super awkward or anything, but hadn't experienced something like that since college lol. FWIW i don't think he's based in NYC anymore so who knows what his current situation is
