The only reason I don't like doing it is because I like to drain the blood from the meat first and season it before I put it in the pot to slow cook. That would be cubed meat for stews or chicken parts. And like others say, I wouldn't put a roast in frozen or huge chunks or even poultry for that matter.

REALLY??! I never knew that! It seems like the only ones available and advertise are relativly recent immigrants from Latin America. A surplus of Cubans, Columbians, Venezuelans and Puerto Ricans plus some Brazilians. I've never come across anybody from the Midwest or Northeast unless visiting South Florida or Tampa.
