Don't want to pile on you here, but... Just anecdotally, I have met in person one AAGuy who was a "flexible" stripper, two others who do cam work very discreetly, and another 2 I'm pretty sure I've seen in porn. None of this necessarily mean they escort, but they're working in very adjacent industries, are paid strictly on how they look constantly, and are for sure propositioned all the time. Eventually, someone will bite, especially for the right price. Some photographers are also not as professional as you seem to be. There are some really aggressive photographers and some really cash-strapped, smoking hot guys. Sometimes they come together strictly professionally, other times not so much. Perfectly said. To many men who can afford to have a roster of escorts or be able to afford easily an arrangement, the ideal is to have a guy who is discreet in public and available in private. Escorting for guys like those at those parties are rarely cut-and-dry: neither party explicitly states the rules of the game, that would be seen as uncomfortable and awkward. "Mutual benefits were readily understood." SO TRUE!

I'm a big believer in podcasts. I love them and have noticed that during this quarantine, my music listening plummeted and my podcast listening skyrocketed. I understand people saying that they can't focus on the 'cast unless they sort of have to (like in a car driving), and that's true, but imo most aren't designed for you to be glued to it listening intently. It's sort of white noise to me that also can be informative or funny or emotional or whatever. You may catch something and then have to skip back, and that's when you might tune in and listen more closely. I respectfully disagree. I listen to everything from podcasts about movements in the venture capitalism space to one with a comedian who interviews candidly sex workers and drug dealers about their lives in a refreshingly nonjudgmental way. I also listen to a podcast on the history of the English Language and another by a gay POC and his experiences. Podcasts are incredibly varied now. I think there is something out there for everyone

The drag shows downstairs were also fun, though that area was a bit too large for one drag queen to really own the space imo. The last time I went was around 2018, but I remember there always seeming to be a lot more rules there than some other venues in other cities I've been. Maybe it was DC's strict rules, but it was almost like going to a museum at times than a dancer club: No touching, cagey about full nudity, no lap dance room, etc. There'll always be a supply and demand for this sort of stuff, so I wonder where/how that will change with Z closing. There may be weekly parties, but I/most people wouldn't know about them, how to get invited, who to talk to, etc. I keep hearing about parties, for example, but I don't do this stuff with people, so I don't know how to get on any lists, despite wanting the same things... I know some people are going to wonder how last night went as far as this goes, so I'll give my $0.02 for what it's worth, as I attended: TL;DR: I'd go again because I liked the style of the event and think it's incredibly innovative, but I wish there were more/different types of guys next time around. I think the setup and the general style of the event are really quite interesting, others have already highlighted the games/Q&A/etc. that happens, but it isn't until you're there that you realize that it really is quite fun. Through all the dick and ass that you're seeing, it's interesting to hear from the dancers/hosts how they started, what they're doing, etc. It is a LITTLE awkward because this is all done virtually, but that is certainly no fault of Adonis. At the end of the day, these are dancers that you would ordinarily be able to interact with more closely, and that's not happening here. You can't send a private message to a dancer, for example. I get that, as then dancers would be totally occupied with one person and forget the community style that sort of has to happen with this zoom. Strictly, personally speaking, only one of the guys (Isaac?) I liked, but that's a matter of personal preference. I'm into what I'm into (generally less muscled, more lean guys), and the guys today were more masc, larger, etc. After the general shenanigans, you can then send a message to who you'd like in order to set up more personal time with that/those dancer(s). I definitely will be attending again. I think this idea is super innovative and they could probably keep doing this even after they (God willing) return to normal business. I do wish, though, that there was some roster that became available of guys you can set time up with directly after. For example, those that stayed until the end would be sent a link or something of all the dancers that they knew/were available, and you can set time up with them. I understand that would be pretty difficult though, so ***shrug*** I'm excited to see who they'll have available next.

Shamelessly bumping this thread, as I've just rediscovered the AAG site again. I get the feeling that most of those guys do webcam mostly. You can actually book the models, but I think it's more legit than a front. I still think AAG must know that a few of the guys are "flexible," as at least two of the models there I've seen stripping or have seen other pics for massages, etc. AAG also has a cam offshoot site of some of the guys. It's very outdated though, and in need of an upgrade from a user experience standpoint.

I very vaguely remember that there were others in the same vein as FP, but I don't think any were of the size of FP. They were way too expensive to be sustainable though. I think there was some sort of falling out as well. That's a very...bitter post from Twitter @InterestingGuy. Sounds to me like this is borne of necessity rather than shock value or interest. His case makes me question the lives of a lot of these ex-reality stars. Many seem to jump from show to show or start circling the drain. I'm always happy when I see a "Where are they now" type of update and they're just "regular:" No six pack, no upcoming shows, no 500K followers. They just have bills to pay and jobs to perform like us all. Hopefully he doesn't become a cautionary tale like others.

I'm not sure I agree with you, or at least I would think it will depend regionally. Economic downturns often increase the supply of those in the sex industry, and they will be looking to work where there is demand. There will always be demand for sex (or the implication of it in the case of strippers), so I think there would be one or two places in a city where the demand can meet the supply. I think the bigger question is how the clubs themselves handle this, as well as the strippers. The whole thing is sort of predicated on really close contact, a large plurality of clients are older due to economic forces, and strip clubs have a lot of sweaty people about. My narrow guess is that post-lockdown, the clubs might be bare for a few weeks, but people will go back. I also think more strippers/strip clubs will have more online presences (similar to Stock Bar in Montreal and OnlyFans accounts). Most people and politicians know about these clubs and have increasingly just shrugged them off. People will always find ways to get their rocks off anyhow.
