  1. When RentMen published rates this was possible. These days you’d have to crowd-source this.

I miss these days. Luckily I started at the tail end of these days, and this truly helped me set my rates when I first started. When I moved cities (from NYC to Chicago) and had to adjust my pricing a few months ago it was so hard. I wish there was a way for us to at least get a general feel for market rates in cities; I lost several potential clients the first week or so trying to navigate the new market rates. I have no idea how brand new escorts figure out pricing so I think clients giving a gentle "nudge" in the right direction might be helpful (though I am hesitant about using other escort profiles as a way to do this - as market rates are set by geography, they are also determined by what specific "niche" or "type" the escort is filling and those niches can vary widely.)

  2. I read this as a miscommunication, not a ghosting. As you say, he was to "confirm" the next morning, thus you did not have an arrangement made, you had a proposal yet to be finalized. He should have let you know anyway, but I don't see this as the same as flaking on a set appointment.

Also, your scenario differs from the earlier poster who was to confirm and did not do so until perilously close to the appointed time.

I understand that delays happen. I tend to hire for multiple hours. If I am running late, I always contact the escort to let him know I've been delayed, and to alert him to my ETA. Because they've set aside more hours for the appointment, I've never had a problem so long as I promptly communicate about the delay.

Turns out it was in fact a miscommunication. I had thought I had said he should text in the AM to confirm. Either way, miscommunication aside, a new appointment has been arranged. ;)

  3. Hi Clark. Welcome to the forum.

I was interested in your ad when you were in my city.

As clients, we understand that providers may not have the time to respond to each text and email they get. But one of the posters here is talking about an appointment that had already been set and you allegedly did not respond to texts on the day of. Care to explain your side?

Hi there! Definitely, I believe this client is talking about an appointment I had in Chicago. It was booked for 11pm. I unfortunately did not hear anything confirming he was en route and so by 11:15pm I made other arrangements. He did confirm that he was ready to come at 11:23pm. In normal circumstances - especially when I am working from my home base in NYC - I would have been able to accommodate this. But given my working for only a few days in a city, I can't afford to turn down other appointments. This is also based in my experience that roughly 40% of clients who reach out to me ghost or cancel appointments last minute.

  4. Hi all! Just wanted to introduce myself here as Clark.

I have worked off and on the past couple of years mostly because I am in school full time. This is why at various times during the past two years you might not have gotten a response - I most like was not taking clients at that time. I am, however, currently taking clients.

Also apologies to those who think I flake - I actually rarely do and in those circumstances I have, they were for emergencies or because I didn't hear back from individuals with time to plan. I try to be responsive to texts, but I, unlike most people my age, am not attached to my phone and really value my personal time (I spend a lot of time reading, writing, and watching movies), and when I am with people (either clients or friends) I never check my phone.

Looking forward to meeting some of you - feel free to DM me for more details!
