Happy to report that the extra effort to book with Max was very much worth it.

I've had a poor customer experience this week with Spa 27 on this very issue. I called Wednesday to make an appointment with Max for Saturday (the only day he's on the schedule this week). I was told to call back "tomorrow (Thursday) or Friday." So I called Thursday evening. The first time, I was asked if could hold. Sure, no problem. I finally hung up after nearly 10 minutes on hold. I called back about an hour later and was told to call back tomorrow or Saturday--and that they only make appointments for the same day or next day (and the latter sounded iffy). And it was the same guy who told me on Wednesday to call "tomorrow or Friday" who told me on Thursday to call "tomorrow or Saturday." Three calls, no appointment so far. I will try again because I assume it's been a challenge after Ben's passing and because I am quite keen to see Max again. Not good, though.

He's been discussed in the Europe forum. I've seen him 4 or 5 times and he's amazing. He's warm and genuine and treated me like an old friend from the start.

I recently saw Max for the first time--very enjoyable experience. I'd tried to see him a couple of times before but it was always a challenge to book him for some reason. Anyway, I'm glad I tried again. The massage was strong and very good. The rest was excellent. He's a nice guy and very attractive.

I was there this weekend. Hadn't been in a while because I shared the view that it had been going downhill. Seems like it's changed a little for the better. I saw Shen, but there were two or three other quite attractive masseurs working (sorry, don't know their names). There are now signs in the rooms with the manager's phone number that ask customers to report anyone asking for large tips. And the guys answering the phone are friendly.

I tried Shen this weekend and will second this recommendation. It was, shall we say, more than I expected. He's definitely a twink in case that is or is not your thing.

He may have needed to rest his wrists, based on my experience.

I saw Leo tonight in Orange County (Irvine, to be exact). I haven't seen much about him on here, so I thought I'd give him a recommendation. I saw Noah recently as well. Technique was OK, not great. But I thought he was very attractive (even more than his pictures) and eager to please.

We need to send out a search party for THAT Chris. Mmmm….

Sounds like the closed Top Men Spa on 35th near 7th, right next to a Renaissance.

I saw him circa 2022 and it was a very enjoyable experience. Very friendly, laid-back guy.

He has a nice studio apartment on the northeast side of downtown. His studio has an incredible view. He was as warm and friendly as could be. His body is smoking hot. The massage was excellent. An A+ experience.

He's been working in at least two places (Energy and the new 28).

I saw him regularly from about 2018 to 2021. His current photos are reasonably up-to-date. Positives: Always a very sensual experience. Sweet (as described earlier) and engaging. Negatives: Sometimes on time, sometimes not. Occasionally asked about moving an already scheduled appointment to accommodate another client.

I saw Abel once a while back. It was just OK.

For fans of Alven (formerly of Time Square Men's Spa), he is now working at W Men and Energy.

Thanks. In exchange for some fleeting annoyance, I avoided what was likely going to be a poor experience and saved some money to boot! 😉

I saw Alven recently for the 4th or 5th time. And it just keeps getting better. TSMS might be going downhill overall, but Alven is top-notch.

I had a disappointing (non-) experience at HK on December 10. I booked a 90-minute session with Leo two days in advance. I called to confirm several hours before the appointment and it was confirmed. When I arrived, I immediately noticed that Leo looked different than "his" pictures in the HK/27 newsletter. As soon as we got into the room, he asked if 60 minutes was OK because he had another appointment. The circumstances indicated to me it wasn't an appointment at the spa but rather one he booked for himself in his side gig. In fairness, when I told him it was not OK he indicated he would call his other appointment. But at this point, I figured my options were (a) settle for less time and be annoyed, (b) insist on the booked time and risk a poor experience, or (c) leave. I chose (c). Tagging @Benhby to let him know about this incident.
