Had he started by providing all the additional context that might be the case, but he held it back until the thread wasn't really going gangbusters in his direction, then he layers in the additional details to make the client look worse and worse and himself look better and better. It's manipulative and apparently most of you have fallen for it. What makes you think he won't do the exact same thing to you if you are his client? ?

Your line of work is a security concern. The phone service someone uses is not. I can go to 10 stores within 1 mile of my home and buy a completely untraceable burner cell with cash. You'd never know I was calling from one. Don't trick yourself into thinking you are "safe" because you don't take calls from google voice. It's naive.
