Sorry for taking so long to reply. I just saw this. I like the flavor profile-but I don't really like shredded chicken-so I'd most likely keep the chicken whole. I also might brown them a bit first. From Wikipedia -that fount of all knowledge-they declared bankruptcy in 2023, and were bought out by a private equity firm in 2024. So they are still chugging away. Also @friendofsheila-you may know this-but a common complaint of newer slow cookers is that they heat a lot hotter than the old ones. This is probably by design as they want to make sure the food is heated up at the proper temperature quickly enough to prevent dangerous levels of bacteria from building up. Apparently either a lot of older slow cookers didn't heat up enough for the food to be safe from the get go-or they just don't work as well in their later years. It might be prudent to check yours to make sure it's heating correctly. (I'm concerned about your health). Here is one test I found from Michigan State University website. Making sure your slow cooker is cooking adequately. To test your slow cooker’s heating capacity: 1. Fill the slow cooker with water about one-half to two-thirds full. 2. Heat the slow cooker covered on low for eight hours. 3. Using a food thermometer, quickly check the temperature of the water as the temperature will drop when you remove the lid. 4. The temperature of the water should be 185 °F. If the temperature is below 185°F, your slow cooker does not heat food properly to avoid foodborne illness.

I never really paid much attention to Brian. So I'm not sure. Plus Brian never showed me interesting recipes. So that's at least a couple of points in Dylan's favor. .

I'm thinking it means that he usually engages in activities more often discussed in The Deli Section of this Forum in contradistinction to the activities usually discussed here in The Spa Section.

I didn't end up meeting him, but I had a weird exchange with him maybe 20 years ago. I was in Vegas for a job interview. It might have been my first time there. I think he used to be both on Rentboy and the one that was run out of Colorado with all the porn stars on it -I'm having trouble remembering, but wasn't it called Boys Next Door? Anyway I contacted him-told him I was a top. Now this part is fuzzy-but I think he said he didn't bottom. So I ended up hiring someone else-whom I think ended up being a dud. Anyway then later that night, out of the blue, he either called or texted me. He said something about (I'm paraphrasing here)did I want to carnally know his (this part is probably verbatim) man-pu$$y I had already hired and had no more 'to give'. So I declined his offer and went back to sleep. I just found it odd that at first he said he was only a top, but then several hours later he's wanting to bottom for me.

Sorry about your friend. I couldn't access the site. I tried 3 different browsers. I wonder if it has to do with the Texas law on viewing porn. The free Hide Me Proxy didn't help either.

I beg to disagree. And as I started the thread, I'm sure that gives me standing to rebut I've been around here a long time. And while I'm not exactly an angel, long time members would for the most part agree that I rarely start trouble. It wasn't so much a comment on Mr. Boston personally whom I had never heard of before I came across his ad ( I don't watch a lot of porn.). It was more a comment on the idea of $1000/ hour. I can't really imagine anyone I'd be willing to pay that for even back when I was working and a semi-productive member of society.

Do Straight Guys Like The TV Show Bewitched?
+ Gar1eth replied to + Gar1eth's topic in TV and Streaming services
My prize gift for my Bar Mitzvah in 1974 was a small TV for my bedroom. My brother had gotten one for his in 1967. And my sister who didn't have a bat mitzvah for reasons I've never been entirely clear on (something about we had just moved to a different city around the time she would have been taking Hebrew lessons, maybe the rabbi where we moved was old school and wasn't in favor of them-it's always sounded funny to me-don't worry though she decided she wanted one as an adult and had one at about age 48) got one around the age of 14 or 15. I knew I was getting it. I couldn't wait!! I probably had that little black and white TV into my mid to late 20s. (I had a beanbag chair from around the ages of 16 to well into my 30's-possibly 40's.) -
I Bought A New (Used) Bread Machine Off Ebay
+ Gar1eth replied to + Gar1eth's topic in What's Cooking
Yes I know-and knew when I did it-major faux pas. I ordered a scale from Wally World the other day, after I made the bread. For some reason the order screwed up-their fault not mine. I received a $5 dollar off coupon out of the mishap which I used to buy some flour canisters. I supposedly have a social security retirement check coming this week (my first-and it's not a lot. 😖). And I'll probably reorder the scale then. -
I first became aware of Matthew Goode in the Discovery Of Witches miniseries a few years back. I read the books, and I liked the series. But I had some problems with it. The protagonist Diana was played by Australian actress Teresa Palmer. For some reason I thought her acting was really awkward until the last season. I don't know why. As for Matthew Goode who played the vampire love interest-maybe I'm just too influenced by the covers of romance novel bodice rippers (I don't read them (believe me or not🤓) -only see them -or used to see them rather when I'd go to the bookstore or magazine section of the drugstore), but I never thought he looked hunky/ripped enough. But he's in a new police procedural about cold case files in Scotland called Department Q. It's on Netflix. I've seen the 1st two episodes, and I'm really enjoying it. I'm also digging the beard big time.

Do Straight Guys Like The TV Show Bewitched?

I think I preferred The Big Valley over Bonanza. I remember TBV more from afternoon reruns than when it was actually on. But my recollection-which is probably extremely biased-is that Lee Majors was stripped of his shirts a lot more often than Pernell Roberts and Michael Landon were. And by the time TBV reruns were on in my early and late pre-teens, that was very important to me. -
I Bought A New (Used) Bread Machine Off Ebay
+ Gar1eth replied to + Gar1eth's topic in What's Cooking
Oh I thought I had replied. Thanks for keeping me on task. It was only ok. I was expecting more flavor. But my tastebuds seem to be a bit dulled lately. So I don't know if it's due to that. But for bread made with molasses as well as instant coffee, I was expecting a stronger flavor. Now I did a few things I know were wrong. #1 I didn't gently scoop the flour into a nested measuring cup. I went ahead and 'dug' the flour out by entering the bag of flour, so I probably had too much flour. #2 The recipe called for Active Dry Yeast I used 'quick' Bread Machine Yeast. You are supposed to decrease the yeast by about a 1/4th when using changing over I didn't. #3 I probably should have reshaped the loaf after the 1st knead. But it wasn't horrible for my first try with a new (used) machine. I'm going to look for a hopefully better recipe though. Next up on the agenda is either a different recipe pumpernickel or a rosemary-cheese bread. I forgot to take a picture of the innards. -

This is long but funny. In case you aren't familiar with this comedian, he has a hearing impairment and wears hearing aids.

While I have no specific knowledge, that seems unlikely to me. A large proportion of 'plastic' surgeries aren't covered by insurance as they aren't medically necessary. But people pay for them anyway. Same thing with hair transplants.
