I've been in my profession 21 years and while I'm very good at it, the last 4 years have been among stressful and least enjoyable What stops me from bolting are the "golden handcuffs" of being about to retire in 9 years (I'll be 55). I never thought I'd be 44 and looking for a new challenge... Best of luck too alll of you who have the balls to do it!

Thank you Kevin. That's really illustrative, perhaps moreso for someone like me who only sees clients on a part time basis as a result of my traditional career. But maybe it's time to revisit the paradigm I've used over the past 3 years since I started seeing clients after a decade of inactivity. Thanks again, @KevinSlater, for sharing your data.

I suspect that's true for most men, but the hit rate this morning was a big surprise for me...

So I've typically only seen clients on weekends (as it's really a side hustle and I have a more traditional career during the week). However, I decided to take Monday off, indicated I was available online, and had 3 inquires in less than 10 minutes (with one booking for Wednesday evening). I never really thought about taking clients during the week. For those who care to reply, how busy are you during the week?

Most if my clients are older than me and that's never been an issue. I've only had a few clients my age or younger. "age ain't nothin' but a number."

I agree with everything you said. If you're a client, and I can do something better, tell me... I want a client to be satisfied with our time together. That's of highest importance to me. It's the non-client general population of gay men who are a bit too free with their opinions (IMHO)...

Ironically... The length of my hair is the unsolicited comment... And it doesn't come from clients; it comes from non-client gay men: "you'd be so much better looking with short hair." Maybe I'd attract a wider client base, but at the same time, I like being true to me. If I want feedback, I'll freely ask (which I do frequently, because I'm always looking to improve myself). But unless you're paying and you're a stylist, leave my hair in peace ?.

I'm curious as to how many of you feel about unsolicited feedback. Generally, I appreciate it, as being a service provider, if I do something to improve myself, my appearance, etc., I'm happy to take the suggestion. Except... That one topic (and I suspect everyone has one topic we don't want to hear about, or we've heard comments in the past, but it's a part of our identity we embrace)... You should be paying whatever the hourly rate for each escort has established with you. At least that's how I've always handled these situations in the past. I'm also aware of a system where one escorts selects the other escorts and gets a surcharge for the service. At a minimum, though, let each escort know there's another escort joining in and who it is. Most of the time, if I know in advance, I'll touch base with the other provider and chat in advance of the appointment. I've also turned down a client when the other provider was someone I didn't think I could work with. Hope this was helpful... Have fun!

The inability to post rates on RM as a result of FOSTA/SUSTA is probably why you're seeing the spike in prices. As you pointed out, providers can't see what their competition is charging, and probably don't have a great handle on what the local market is willing to pay. Unless you're a well-known provider and/or industry actor, I can't imagine most guys are actually getting $300/hour. But maybe I'm wrong...

There are apps that allow for you to have a burner/second phone number for your cell phone. Well worth the expense.
