  1. Absolutely great advice! Thank you guys! I clean up pretty nicely too.
  2. So how would you guys approach somebody asking you about travel? I got a message with someone not from my town asking if I'd meet him for a weekend trip in another city. Agreed to my price (I probably went too low) and of course will cover travel. I'm unsure. I feel like it would be better if we had met in person for a shorter session to see compatibility before going away for a weekend. What would you guys advise? My gut says to politely decline but maybe I'm over thinking.
  3. Thanks! Yeah I need to dress up and snap a pic. you're right about a butt shot too. We don't call that the money maker for nothing
  4. Okay I need advice! Just got a text from someone intetested. How does this work now? Haha. How do I know if the person is real? Are there certain questions I should ask?
  5. Thank you guys for all the advice and encouragement so far! I did it! I put up a RM ad! https://rent.men/LJinNYC Thoughts? I know I likely need more pics. I just grew my facial hair about three weeks ago (it grows fast, haha) so I don't have a ton of photos with facial hair right now, at least not dressed in different ways. I might just throw on a dress shirt and tie and snap a selfie today just to add. Thank you guys again!
  6. Thank you for the advice! I'd love to host at my place but doubt anybody would travel to the Bronx (and I don't blame them). I'm going to look into the Recharge app that Zachary suggested above. I think I'm going to get a first RM ad up by tomorrow! I figure I might as well get one up and can make changes to it, but I'm only missing out on any potential interest by not having something up.
  7. I honestly don't think I've ever taken photos doing either of those things before. Not going to start now!
  8. That's a great point too! In terms of showing my personality and maybe getting a "hot" photo or two, I might grab some shots at the gym boxing. My trainer is an amateur photographer anyway and a shot of me in action in the ring or right after a sparring session could definitely help make the doughnuts. Thank you!
  9. Definitely plan on doing that! I've always thought this place was a great resource. When I've been a client, I've come on here to search for reviews of guys I was interested in. Thanks!
  10. Thank you! Yeah I'm thinking of 200 to start just because it seems like the way you build a business. Would love further advice/opinions on that. I think the pro of living in NYC is there are so many people that, like you said, I'll be someone's cup of tea. Though the market could be saturated here, but I'm confident that I'm individual enough to offer a unique experience to anybody who hires me.
  11. I've actually never heard of Recharge before. That's great to know! Thank you. I've used Hotel Tonight for an overnight stay or two in the city but obviously for these purposes when 60 minutes might do, that could be a much better option. I'll look into it! Yeah I find CL very frustrating. I haven't been trying to do this seriously before, but now that I am, I know RM is the way to go.
  12. That's great advice! Seems silly to wait on professional photos when I can post some now and get the ball rolling. Thank you!
  13. I work out first thing in the morning on an empty stomach because it's what works best for my schedule. I have no clue if it helps me burn more calories, but it at least makes me feel like I've gotten a great start to the day (and helps me make better food choices later on, because I don't want to ruin the work I put in boxing by now eating a 3000 calorie meal!)
  14. Greetings everyone! Long time listener, first time caller...haha. But seriously, I've lurked on these boards for awhile and found them very interesting, so thank you all for the conversations. I finally made an account on here because I'm thinking about giving escorting a try. I'll give some info about myself and why I'm thinking of this. First off, I've been a client a few times. About a decade ago when I was in my early 20s I was in a relationship with a girl. She knew I was bi at the least (maybe more like 90% gay) and gave me the okay to sleep with men still but at the time we agreed that the safest way for me to do that would be by spending time with an escort. Especially once I discovered that there were review sites and everything. It was ideal. I had great experiences as a client at the time. Fast forward to now, where I'm no longer dating women, and a few years ago I took up boxing and got myself into really good shape. And the more I think about it, the more I think I would enjoy being on the other side of the coin in this. I came across an ad on Craigslist a year ago, and discovered how enjoyable it could be to spend a little time with somebody and walk away with some extra pocket money. I've done my share of CL stuff now, though the flaky nature of it all can be frustrating. But then about two weeks ago I met a guy who really made me think wait, maybe I should be on Rentmen. A guy who asked me to come spend some time for $75 and by the end gave me $200 instead. The thought that I could make that instead of 50 is one that I had to pay attention to. I might not be everyone's cup of tea (who is?) but one thing I pride myself on is really connecting with people and figuring out what they want. And I aim to please. I haven't created a rentmen ad yet (I think I probably need some professional photos done) but mostly I'm here to see if you guys have any advice for me starting out. I started talking to an established escort the other day (I took a chance and emailed, said hey I'm looking to start this, any advice? And he's been very cool! I wasn't even expecting a response, but I figured as with any industry, it's all about connections right?) Some basic details about me - I'm 34 but told quite regularly that I look younger. I'm a bit on the hairy side, which used to bother me but I've embraced it lately. I'm Sicilian and Colombian. I'm short! 5'5, which I also used to be bothered by but boxing taught me its a real advantage if you make it one! I have a full time 9 to 5 job, so I'm not looking to make this my only gig, though if I took off with it, well I'd consider my options haha. And I'm in NYC, born and raised. I won't be hosting people because I live up in the Bronx and nobody is traveling that far, which I know can take away from business, though for the right client there may be times I grab a hotel room than a friend and I can just hang out at afterwards anyway. Mostly I'm looking into this for some extra income to just enjoy life with. Any advice you guys might have is highly appreciated! Thank you!
