Always start out with a basic greeting and how you found his contact info. A good starting point is “Hey xxx, my name is John and I found your profile on Rentmen (or wherever). I would be interested in meeting you, are you available on (day/time)? Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.” Once you get an OK for his availability, be specific about the time, location (his place, your place, hotel, etc) and for how long. You should find that the communication flows from there. Some guys actively use the email feature on RM, but it’s less than reliable. You can ask about using email, but the initial inquiry by text is usually a good starting point.

I usually hire when I'm traveling, and host at my hotel. I find that most hotel elevators require a room key for access, but even when they don't, meeting in the hotel lobby is a nice neutral area to meet. When I'm meeting an escort for the first time and I get a text that he's on his way over, I generally tell him I'll meet him in the lobby and that I'm wearing a red t-shirt, or whatever. The second time I hired an escort was at a hotel in London that had open elevators, so I just gave they guy my room number and told him to come on up. Pretty obvious to the hotel staff what was going on there, and I learned from that experience that it's better to take control of the situation. I find that the walk from the lobby to my room is a nice little ice breaker with someone new.
