I agree with you, Tarheel. I used to search the services section for "m4m" and, in a trick I don't see used anymore, it would bring up several ads that were not the type of ads you'd expect. For example, a contractor would include "m4m" in a list of words at the bottom of his post. What I didn't understand sometimes was when a normal looking ad would come up. That would force me to do a "find" for the term and, here's the 'trick' I'm referring to, all of those keywords were written in white font. So a white font against a white background doesn't appear unless you search the page using find. So anyone looking at the ad wouldn't see it, but if they did a specific search for that keyword, the ad would come up. I used to love looking for ads like that, but it stopped long before CL shut down the personals.

As @hornytwells also noted, your post read as though you were castigating the OP for his fetish. Perhaps that wasn't your intention, but that's how it came across. At a minimum, your post was completely unhelpful to the specific request of the OP, and addressed only what you thought about hiring straight guys, rather than helping him find what he wants.
 
Thank you for pointing out that you're the one who first brought up the idea of hiring for a BFE. Since the OP never inquired about that (he instead asked about straight porn stars who are "affectionate and fun with a guy"), then his post makes even more sense, since plenty of straight escorts can do that. In contrast, your response looks even less like a serious attempt to provide him with some useful information that actually addresses his request. In fact you've now admitted that your response really served to just make the OP's thread all about you: "He didn't say BFE, I'm the only who brought that up as something I like and I consider is more likely to happen with another gay or bi man."
 
It's unfortunate that you view someone pointing out how some posters make others' threads all about themselves, as "policing." Up to this point in the thread, you still haven't even offered any help to the OP. Instead you've blamed others for being overly sensitive to a post that was inconsiderate and unhelpful at a minimum, and, at worst, came across as patronizing and insulting. Rather than deflect, couldn't you have just offered a "mea culpa," and then a helpful suggestion, if you knew of someone that the OP might like?

You insulted the OP, and now you try to reframe the issue by saying that it's no big deal because he can defend himself, if he so chooses? Come on, you're better than that. The point is that the OP simply asked for recommendations on a specific type of escort. You did not respond to his request, but instead derided him for his fetish by asking why he liked it, and then rhetorically asked him whether there is enough of an entirely different type of escort in his locale for him to focus on instead.
 
This unfortunately happens alot on this board, where someone will ask for info about an escort (or, as here, for suggestions on a specific type), and rather than provide the help sought by the OP, some posters will instead offer only what they don't like about the OP's tastes, or a critique about the escort at issue without providing the personal knowledge about said escort that the OP sought. For example, how many times does someone respond to a 411 about a particular escort with a post that offers no real useful info about said escort, but instead talks how the responder doesn't like that escort's tattoos, or that the responder can't tolerate smoking, or the escort is sexually incompatible with the responder's own tastes, etc.?
 
To respond directly to the OP, while I don't know of any straight porn stars in NYC who also escort, I'd suggest going to the Spunk and/or Adonis male stripper events. Somewhat counterintuitively, most of the dancers there identify as straight. Yet, many dancers (both the gay- and straight-identified ones) are available for appointments outside of the bars (sometimes they have pro ads, too), and some of them have done some type of adult work (photos, modeling, and even porn, although that last one's much less common). P.S., @marylander1940, I actually think you make a good point about the seeming incongruity of seeking a straight porn star to provide a gay man with a boyfriend experience. That's the first thing that popped into my head about the OP's request. But the fact that we think it's a little bit strange has no value to the OP, who never asked for our opinion on, nor our validation of, his specific desires.

Maybe because that is his preference and what turns him on?
