Just bumping this because I was looking for a different "Rhett" and remembered this chain. I saw Mason twice this past summer and hallelujah he's single! No more Ezra and his mood and skills are better than ever! If he was in NYC I'd hire him once a week. One of the best!

I don't understand how service providers in this industry throw a fit when they get a cancellation. I have never nor will I ever work and live "client-to client" in terms of making and keeping appointments and earning the associated income.

 

I do however keep detailed files on those who do cancel, should it become a repeat thing. But at no point should a reputable service provider lose their mind over a client informing you that they can't make an appointment due to illness. People get sick. If those people truly want to see you in the future, it's on the service provider to respect that and act professional.

 

Those clients who end up paying part of OR the entire hourly/daily, etc fee is a highly generous move that IMO perpetuates unreasonable entitlement on the service provider's part.

 

In short, people will cancel on you. Act professional, wish them a speedy recovery and move on. Because clients will remember your reactions and will act accordingly.

I had a similar situation. I made an appointment and was stuck in a different city because of flight delays I wasn’t sure if i would come back in time. The companion flipped out on me even though it was over 24 hours and I was giving him a heads up that I might not be able to make it back home and meet him. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that even though I was able to make it home; I met him, paid him the full donation but cut the session short; essentially just met him to give him the donation. His reaction freaked me out so much I figured I would meet him to pay him to avoid any online drama. I will not meet him again. I am sure you all probably think that was dumb of me to do...

I kinda feel like I should try and meet him again just to give him a donation to see if that would make things right for him or maybe I should just cut my losses and move on.
