I stayed in Paris a lot many years ago when it was much nicer (even though it's never been "friendly"). Now it's just another big modern expensive city. A closet-size room in Paris is $150, a 5* is $1000. In Prague a 5* is $100. In Prague at one of the new 5* restaurants, a meal is $30, in Paris it's hundreds....if you can get a reservation. Mega-size modern international cities like New York, London and Paris just leave me cold. (Like you I also like Berlin a lot too, it's still unspoiled).

It's by far the most beautiful and historic huge city. Mostly pre-1400. It's also incredibly inexpensive for 5* hotels and restaurants. Many UK tourists come for the inexpensive new restaurants. Czechs are beautiful and friendly. Most porn is filmed in Prague and every other guy on the street is a gay porn star. The old Carlsbad spa town nearby is amazing. Berlin. Dresden, Vienna and Budapest are closeby. Did I mention the gay porn stars? As for sending rides for Uber, I just order a car in my name use that the person's pickup point to my home. I tell the person the car etc and to use my name. No disclosure except my address, which is the biggest one. Uber is a godsend in Prague. (1/3 to 1/4 taxis). Not cheaper in Zurich. Banned in Barcelona. In DC I'm absolutely terrified of the DC taxi drivers from bad experiences and politics and even if they're not cheaper try to always use Uber. For people aging in place Uber/Lfyt is a godsend. While they may not be 100% kosher, cities throttle Uber and Lyft at their immense peril. They are ubiquitous and popular and beloved.

While professional model portfolio clients may need widely-varied photos in different settings, moods, dress etc to see flexiabilty for shoots, clients here don't. They want to see what the provider actually looks like now or when they meet. Why all the 3-finger selfie requests. I hate having to guess between photos which is the real guy, even though they may all be of the same guy. I throw out all the professional staged ones. (I'd hire some of those miracle-working photographers maybe). And then I throw out the obviously younger age ones but also the "bad day" 2 or 3 to hopefully find 2 or 3 that look like actual candid photos of what the guy looks like.

I always do best when out of relationships but am always in them. I like it because I don't have to search. But when one does crash (or seem to) I go on a diet, a house renovation, take a vacation, etc and even work out some times. (New clothes also help and black hides fat faster than diet and work outs). The principle is the best revenge is leading an outstanding life yourself. In practice ex's often return and if you're even more outstanding than before you have a better shot. So if you're trying to help a return or just be better for yourself, improving your life always helps. It's about you.

The thought of nursing homes scares me. I'm an "age in place" guy. My half sister and a good friend are in them but they're very mentally gone and cant be alone ever. Im trying to retri fit my house to age in but I may have to someday give up the upstairs or get a lift. Thank goodness for things like Alexa, Uber, and security cams. But no one can really prepare enough.
