I went to Pinnochio for so many years and it was wonderful. Always very crowded, always good-lookers. The huge change was when Romania and Bulgaria came into the EU suddenly and very rough guys from there took over the place. My last visit i was pickpocketed inside there while some rough guys tussled me in front of the bartenders. After that Blueboy opened a block up which was also packed but much safer as well as ToyBoy across the street from Pinnochio. ToyBoy is still there and very packed but very nice but Blueboy closed during the pandemic and didn't reopen. Been to Berlin lots but never had a desire to stay at the Axel until I read escorts cruise the halls and lobby constantly.
