Nomadic hits the nail on the head! now i find im producing some sort of antibodies in my system related to the heart and transplants. i went from 0 to a number of 38 in 2 months. my transplant team doctor is doing a telemed with me on tuesday. what i "sort of" understand from the internet prior to our meeting is that the more of these antibodies, the harder a match is.... on top of the other blood type issues. that being said, the harder the match, the quicker one goes up the list IF there is a match for that persons heart. My hunch is he will want to admit me into the hospital as well to get high priority. The problem is it can be a few weeks as long a 8-9 months for that "donor match". i am absolutely not prepared to lay in a hospital bed for 8 months. that in itself would do me in. This is why i have such a close feeling to Dominic. I truly feel what he is going through.

I have o+ blood type as well. Funny thing is we can give our organs to any blood type but we can only receive o+ organs. I was listed 2 months ago for a heart transplant. Doctors said 6-9 months was likely but can vary like crazy.
