I last visited Chile in 1991, right after the Capitán-General relinquished power. Drove to Puerto Montt, the gateway to Patagonia. I was struck at how much it looked like the PNW down south. Pristine cities, like Valdivia, full of dairy farms and Germanic architecture. I’d love to return.

I’m pretty good at this game. I doubted it was the US and knew it wasn’t Europe, Africa or Asia. I know the CDMX skyline and ruled out Brazil. Then I googled tallest buildings in Bogota, Medellin and Santiago!

I’d never been through the Ozarks before, and was impressed with the foliage.

I often buy leather gear for my favorites, including boots. I’ve also bought tight leather shorts in their exact measurements on Etsy. Great fun. In the past, we enjoyed shopping trips which were great since my guys could try on the jeans and shoes before buying. I don’t want to even know how much I’ve spent over the years! -

I had a dinner party last week for 4 younger friends and neighbors. On Saturday I and a neighbor took our friend, who’s moving away, and her brother out to dinner at a hip restaurant in the neighborhood. I enjoy the social life, but do worry about the new omicron variant, although the case loads where I live are quite low. I think I’ll stay in New Years Eve.
