Yup. I’ve noticed that trend too. For a while, you could tell the scammers right away because their profile pic displayed in a a somewhat distorted manner.
They’ve gotten a lot better in recent months, and it’s very frustrating.
What I started doing is, when I begin to suspect the profile is not real, I begin answering with random terms. For example, I’ll respond, “chocolate,” “vanilla,” “strawberries.” The messaging usually stops quickly as their software must be programmed to look for certain responses.
