Yes, good advice CatDaddy. And that's exactly what I've done. I went to one of my private regulars 2 weeks ago in his clean apartment. We both wore masks. He had the air conditioner on as well as a small fan blowing air around. He was sitting out the pandemic and I convinced him to let me be his breakout client and he did. I know that he was always clean, even uses zip off covers for the head cradle which he changes each time. He asked that I not talk while he was massaging me. A bit much but I respected his wishes and it worked out fine. I'd do it again but cautiously.

I must ask if @Trebor was at this party cuz I know this is his type of guy.

Business must be slow as guys are still thinking about taking the plunge. I've called a few spas just to see what they would have to say about changes in procedures. They all told me that masks are required for both masseur and client except when face down in cradle. Sanitizing between client visits and some even recommend a shower before getting on the massage table. I suggest a mutual shower between masseur and client to be sure both are squeaky clean.

OK not that bad. I wasn't expecting to see that lean blond chap from 20 years ago. He still looks decent for a guy around 40 yrs old. Thank you for sharing.

The expectation of a tip above the price listed by a private masseur is different than that of a masseur working at a spa. Since the private masseur is pocketing the entire payment unlike the spa masseur who is only receiving a % of the fee (usually around 30%). Of course, if the private masseur treats you very well and goes out of his way to relieve your stress and put a smile on your face, you may feel obliged to tip. From my experiences, the private masseur is grateful when you do but doesn't expect it.

You walked by the new location and saw the sign in March? The 14th Street location is done. My masseur Tony was a bit on the stocky side but he treated me well.

Greenhouse Men's Spa in NYC which was located on West 14 Street & 6th Avenue has relocated to 122 West 29 Street, 2nd Floor, between 6 & 7th Aves. New phone # is 917-675-7984. Hot off the press - it's still not listed on Google. I asked the guy who I spoke with if the new location was a spa previously. He said that it wasn't and everything there is brand new. The rooms are larger than the old GH location and they now have a table shower. I asked about my favorite masseur Tony. He went back to China to be with his parents but is expected to return. I wasn't familiar with any of the other masseurs who worked there but I do know that they used to rotate between GH and Super Mens Spa since they shared the same owner. The guy was ready to book an appointment for me but I told him that I wasn't ready. If any one of our Spa Forum members tries them out, please do report back. The price went up $10. It's now $70 for 60 minutes.
