I am not sure how you can get the wrong number? It is right there on RM and you can just select it, you don’t have to write it down, or remember it, you can just copy it.
Maybe it’s more about getting the “wrong person”. I just want to be sure it’s the provider I’m texting with before I ask about details.

I don’t usually include a lot of details in my first text just in case I got a wrong number.
If the provider’s name is a regular name, I usually text, “Hey Jude, are you in NYC?”
If the name is something like “HotAssFucker”, I skip the name and just say, “Hey bud, ...”
I ask my questions on the succeeding texts.

I think it is a red flag in terms of overall service. I think it all depends on how bad you want to see him. I had that happen to me but once I met with the escort all future visits were great. Sometimes they are so busy, they pick and choose who might be a flake.
