  1. Favorite line so far: "Ok, Shonda, now we got ourselves a scandal"... right up there with "Why Karen Walker..... I thought I smelled gin and regret"...
  2. I remember my first time in high heels....... But seriously, has this drug made any noticeable changes in your pup? Would pretty much do anything (yep, maybe even cloning) to prolong the life on my little roommate . So, does it work and how? Details please.
  3. Applaud the reviewer for the balls to write what seemed to be a very honest account of his experience. Not that surprised about Atlas. Have seen his pics for years, but something always made me hesitate. And that response, fucking classic. All the client's fault.... classy. Affection of the miserable.... maybe he was using the word like Hillary? The deplorables? Doubt it. Whata dick. And not even a hard one at that. But he sure shot himself in it with that response.
  4. A couple of random thoughts... First, overall, I liked the finale. Happy that Littlefinger got fingered for all his crimes and I agree, it had me going for a bit, but wondered why Bran would be there if Sansa was really turning on Arya because he never would. But very relieved when she said Lord Balish. Loved Jon's conversation with Theon where he reassured him that he didn't have to choose, that he could be both... foreshadowing Jon's own future dilemma. Also, thought they did a great job when the captured White Walker jumped out of the box and lunged at Cersei. I jumped as well. Also, was more than a little nervous when Jaime walked out on Cersei. I was no where near as confident as he was that she wouldn't kill him.... But here is a easy prediction..... Danerys will be pregnant by Jon/Aegan. And here is how I would like to see Ceresi's story end. A friend predicts that Jaime arrives at Winterfell and sometime after the war with the White Walkers, Arya kills him and steals his face which she then uses to get close enough to Cersei to exact her revenge. In my version, all that happens except at the last minute Arya decides to let her live. Why you ask... well, because as we know Cersei is pregnant. She will give birth to a boy, to replace Joffrey and Tommen and insure that the Lannister name goes on.... but the boy, her pride and joy, her hope for her future and her last chance at a family will be born.... yep.... a dwarf. Just like the brother she despises and has punished all his life. So Arya lets her live, knowing that a long life with this constant reminder of all she has lost will be far worse than any death and she is banished to Casterley Rock to live out her days with only her progeny for company. Not that I personally have anything against dwarfs. One final quibble... in the episode before the finale, any find it odd that the White Walkers just happened to have miles and miles and miles of chain with them? I mean, enough enormous chains to pull a huge fucking dead dragon up from the bottom of a lake? I mean, they walk everywhere. Not like it was in someone's pocket. And in that vein, they don't even swim.... so how did they hook it to the dragon at the bottom of aforementioned lake in the first place?
  5. Heard that the finale is the longest episode ever., like 78 minutes and it's titled "The Dragon and the Wolf" which implies Tagareyan and Stark which has all the kids I work with speculating that it's the true back story of Rhaegar and Lyanna.... like maybe Bran has a full vision and shares it with Jon? No matter how it ends, it's going to be a long wait until it airs again... possibly 2019. Lord.
  6. Any thoughts as to who the Night King actually was when he was alive? I have heard it theorized that he is a Targareyan... maybe Aegan the Conqueror or even Rhaegar... and that the war will be resolved with Jon on Rhaegar/dragon and the Night King on Visareyan/dragon. I know they should a scene with the Children of the Forest plunging dragon's glass into a man that became the Night King but have never identified the man. Sad to see Thorus of Myr go (no clue on that spelling?) ... Guess this means that we really won't see Lady Stoneheart. Dang it. Not sure where we are headed with Arya and Lady Stark. You would think that if your brother was the 3 Eyed Raven he might be able to clue you into Littlefinger's machinations.
  7. Worked out ok for "The Man in the High Castle" folks. Haven't seen it because it's on Amazon but hear it's good. "Confederacy" is under protest already and that was before last weekend, Trump's latest meltdown and the subsequent yanking of the statues. Timely, if nothing else.
  8. And we finally got to see Gendry again. "I thought you might be still rowing".... A friend predicted that he would surface to make dragon glass swords to kill the white walkers. He was wrong about that so far, but at least, he's back. Internet thinks he will end up with a Stark girl if he survives the journey beyond the Wall. Personally, if I had been Jon, I would have asked Danaerys to use one of her dragons on the Night King. Fire kills them and we've seen how effective dragons are in battle. Easier than using Dondarrien's fiery sword and killing them one at a time. Bets on whether Cersei is really pregnant? Seem to recall her talking about menopause at one point. Euron Greyjoy is going to be disappointed if his new wife (assuming she keeps her promise) has her brother's child. Had to cheat and look up what the letter Littlefinger left for Arya to find meant. Setting her up to turn against Sansa..... Great episode, all in all. Especially that Jon is a true Targaryen. Clever.
  9. I love this show and still watch my dvr reruns. To me, it's still funny especially the live shows. Did read that they are starting like the finale never happened and that only Connick will return albeit briefly. Good news is that also means that Beverly Leslie is not dead s o he can make his usual campy entrances... "I thought I smelled gin and regret"...
  10. If memory serves and it very well might not since I read the last book years ago, I seem to recall that it ends with Jon Snow getting stabbed so technically we don't even know for sure that he survives in the books. Maybe he doesn't since there is already another living male Targareyen heir on his way to Westeros with Tyrion? Will Jon Snow even be a Targareyan in the books? Rhaegar did kidnap Lianna Stark and Ned did find her in a bed of blood... so maybe. Certainly Lady Stoneheart will play more of a role in the books than she has in the series, though I haven't given up on seeing her yet. Speeding toward the end, it seems. Hope that Arya and Sansa's reunion is more exciting than Sansa's and Bran's...
  11. Thanks. Just saw this. Appreciate the info.
  12. Anyone have an first hand experience with this guy? https://rentmen.com/TravisBlake That face. AND that ass. Very intrigued. Boys?
  13. Watched "Preacher" just for him. Still hot. Check out "The Devil's Double"..... If that's pudgy, sign me up.
  14. I assumed that they were the "little birds" that Varis was always talking about.... these poor street kids that acted as his network of spies. But that doesn't really make sense that Varis would be helping Cersei kill the Tyrell children and then go off at the speed of light and side with their Grandmother and the Sands against the Lannisters, does it? Maybe they are just a band of orphan sellswords?? Baby assassins available to the highest bidder? Maybe they just wanted "More please" like Oliver?
  15. Pk, that's how I remembered it, too. But I was reading online and they say that Stannis and Mellisandre had rough sex and she then gave birth to the demon that killed Renley. Gendry's blood (via leeches) was used by Stannis to curse the "usurpers"... Robb Stark, Balon Greyjoy and Joffrey Baratheon and we all know how that turned out. Then the Onion Knight, Sir Davos aided his escape because Mellisandre was trying to talk Stannis into sacrificing him to win the war. They had this scene on the beach with Gendry very awkwardly getting into a very small row boat. Davos asked, can you swim? Gendry said, no. Davos said, then don't fall out and pushed the boat out to sea and that's the last we've seen of Gendry. They were at Storm's End and I always had the impression that he was rowing back to King's Landing.
  16. More to the point, how could she have left Daarios's behind behind???? Not me. About the fire and ice bit.... think the argument now is that since Jon is Tarareyan and Stark, he is the prince who was promised, an embodiment of both elements. Could also be that what Lyanna whispered to Ned was that she wasn't kidnapped and that perhaps they had married and thereby making Jon a legitimate Targareyan heir and giving Ned even more reason to need to protect him from Robert Baratheon. Has been suggested that's why Ned sent Jon to the Nights Watch in the first place. In the books, I thought the only kingdom that recognized women as potential ascendants to the thrones was Dorne and that was why Yara's Queensmoot was so controversial. And that even Danaerys would be passed over if there was a living male Targareyn, especially her war hero brother, Rhaegar and now there is. Just wonder if they will find out they are related before a strategic marriage is arranged and consummated. Not that the incest part would bother a Targareyan. They are openly inbred not like the sneaky Lannisters. More that I have thought about Tommen's death, think it's kond of cool (symbolic? Cyclical?) that he jumped from a window. If Jaimie hadn't pushed Bran for catching him with Cersei, would any of this started?
  17. Have to give it to the first 20 minutes. Did not see that coming at all. Agree about Margaery and Loras. He died in the books as well, but his sister is still alive and well. And as for Tommen? Sick of his pussy whipped little zealot ass anyway, but surprised as well. Not sure why that makes Cersei queen, except for the Mountain and all the Lannister troops. No clue how Jaime will react to the death of yet another one of his kids... The writers are certainly playing fast and loose with the time line, though. How exactly did Arya get to the Riverlands so damned fast? Was she disguised as the serving wench even at the dinner? Since when does she know how to do that anyway? Thought you had to be no one (like the Waif) to become other people? Thought that the last time we saw her she was stabbed and in the river? It just felt contrived to me and frankly, the death of the master mind of the Red Wedding deserved more build up and the return of Catelyn Stark to do the deed. I was hoping it was Arya just having a fever dream from the stab wound and all that time in the water.... And what about Varis getting from Mereen to Dorne and then back to Mereen in time to sail with Daenerys and Tyrion??? Sloppy continuity? Or just forced drama? Ok, so if Jon is not the product of Rhaegar's rape of Lianna Stark, then who is his father? She was engaged to Robert Baratheon when Rhaegar kidnapped her? Is he the Daddy? Jon certainly looks more like that sire than a platinum blonde Targaryen? And that would put him directly in line for the Iron Throne now that all the other faux Baratheons are dead. And pit Jon against Daenarys...... fire verus ice? Sure a lot happened. But to me, it's like the writers threw everything at the Wall (Ha) and only some of it stuck.
  18. Hate it about Rickon. Was hoping that Ramsay was pulling a Theon and using a peasant boy for target practice and that they would find the real Rickon hiding at Winfterfell. Not that Jon or Sansa would know the difference. He was a little boy when he and Bran left. Interesting to me that no one has questioned that if Rickon is alive that Bran might be also..... Thought at first that Sansa was going to let Jon's direwolf at Ramsay, but even more fitting that his own hounds got to do the deed. What he gets for starving them ..... and for raping Sansa, murdering his own father and well, what he did to Theon etc...etc. Anyone get why Sansa didn't mention that Littlefinger and the forces from the Vale were coming? Could have waited 20 minutes and not lost all those Wildlings? As for the finale, it's called The Winds of Winter, so sounds like White Walkers and the Night King to me. But the previews did show Cersei and her trial and Walder Frey toasting the Lannisters. Maybe Lady Stoneheart will finally intercept Brienne? That was a big cliff hanger in Book 5.
  19. Former: Blake Harper and Jason Branch (loved him the first time. Epic ass) Current: Dallas Steele
  20. I think that the two remaining wolves signify who (of the Starks) will play the most important part in the end game and it looks like that will be Jon and Arya.... Of course, I still think that Jon is going to be revealed to be both a Stark and a Targareyan, the product of the rape of Lianna Stark by Rhaegar Targareyan. Pretty sure it was her screams that Bran heard from that tower. Presumably dying in child birth....and her brother, Ned finds her in a "bed of blood". Really looking forward to Theon and his sister showing up with their stolen fleet to help Jon and Sansa defeat Ramsay Bolton. But probably a bad omen for Rickon that they killed his wolf??? Would be very fitting if Theon got to be the one that rescued Rickon but that is probably way too much of a happy ending for GoT. Anyone else think that maybe the guy that those ice elves turned into the Night King could be Benjin Stark? Also, how long do you all think it will take those Iron Island folks to build a thousand ships? I bet George R R will have book 6 finished before they can even can cut that many trees down.... Very interested to see if the Lannisters can rescue Margery and oust the High Sparrow. Hope they don't forget about about sexy Lorus in the dungeon. Alas, poor Hodor.
  21. Spoiler: Don't read this if you haven't seen Ep 2. Well, it was Mellisandre in the cabin with a spell of hair and blood, after all.... Seriously, thought for a moment they were going the Targareyan through the fire route.. And Roose Bolton, Balon Greyjoy, Walda Frey and baby Bolton... now the stage is truly set for a war for the North with the wildlings through the Wall, Theon headed to meet his uncle, Euron and Sansa and Brienne headed to Castle Black. Cool to see Bran go back in time in his mind and see Lianna Stark.... which I still say will lead to JS's real paternity.
  22. The more that I have thought about it, I think that "Jon Snow" as we knew him is in fact dead. But something or someone will bring him back to life and his true identity will be revealed. I am betting that he is Rhaegar Targareyan and Lianna Stark. I am also betting that Catelyn Stark will be back because they are definitely doing a story about the Tullys and the siege of Riverrun. Think it is also significant that Mellisandre covered herself with a blanket like she was cold.... like the fire of her faith that had always kept her red hot had deserted her.
  23. Wouldn't be surprised if what Melisandre did at the end won't in someway have an impact on bringing Jon Snow back to life. And I was surprised and happy to see Sansa and Theon rescued by Brienne who finally got to fulfill her pledge to Catelyn Stark. Will be interesting to see if Sansa with the help of Euron Greyjoy unites the North against the Boltons. And I bet that we will eventually see Lady Stoneheart as part of that... Sansa finding out that her Mother is alive and the two of them working together to exact vengeance against the Freys for the Red Wedding. Don't get much justice in Westeros so that would be cool to see.
  24. From everything I have read and from the trailers, Sansa and Theon are very much alive. The snow was deep at Winterfell and it broke their fall. I read an interview with Sophie Turner (Sansa) that says that she becomes a major force this season so apparently she gets away from Ramsay Snow... I also read that they cast Theon's uncle, Euron Greyjoy who must be coming to rescue Theon and avenge the honor of the Iron Islands. In the books, he was already king of the Iron Islands because Theon's father, Balon was killed during a fall. That hasn't been shown in the books. In the books, Theon's sister Asha was the one trying to rescue him, but that haven't shown her in years. Euron is a one eyed pirate called Crow Eye that sails a ship called the Silence because it is manned only by mutes who lost their tongues to Euron... Both Arya and Bran are back this season. From the pictures, Bran is now over 6 feet tall and is still mastering his wog skills.... and will be able to go in the past and see old events which is how I think we will get to see Rhaegar and Lianna and Jon Snow's real back story. Arya is still blind and learning to fight. I bet she runs into Sam and Gilly because that's where they are headed. And you are right about Mellisandre and her iffy magic. She was able to conjure up a demon smoke monster that killed Renly but that was using Gendry's blood who was a true male Barothean heir. Less effective with Stannis's daughter obviously.
  25. I read that the first episode of season 6 starts precisely where season 5 ended with Jon Snow's blood in the snow, so I guess, we will soon see. Just seems more than coincidental that Mellisandre is there at the Wall....
