  1. David1024 makes an excellent point. The only problem in living in Southern Orange County or Northern San Diego county is the distance one has to drive to major cultural and sports centers. The one exception is the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. There are no decent Art Museums in these areas and the only baseball stadium is in Anaheim. Additionally the traffic problems in attempting to access downtown San Diego, central Orange County or downtown L.A. along the 5 and 405 freeways are horrific. Even with all of these problems these are great areas in which to live. Do, however, keep in mind that many of these towns a full of USC graduates who are VERY politically conservative.
  2. Given my choice I ALWAYS hire an escort to come to my place for lunch or dinner (his choice) after which we spend a couple of hours playing. By the time the meal is over the ice is broken and we head directly to the bedroom. Unfortunately I don't have a clue how I would go about moving thing along if we were to be together for just one hour. Interesting thread!!!!!
  3. "Nimby" stands for Not In My By Backyard and is a common term that has been used in California for decades. It refers to people opposed to additional development where they live because they don't want their bit of paradise ruined by more development and more residents.
  4. My question was placed here in the Lounge because I wasn't asking it as it might apply to an escort but rather as how it applied to a male model. I was wondering, just out of curiosity, what the life expectancy is for a young, beautiful male model and how he made out financially.
  5. Definitely better than living in Santa Monica or Malibu!!!!!. Santa Monica is a zoo traffic wise and has a MAJOR homeless problem. The park overlooking the ocean has become a major hang out for the homeless, with drug problems, who hassle tourists and locals alike. Housing restrictions are over the top and even the simplest remodeling job becomes a major endurance effort. Malibu is way out of the way if one wants to take advantage of the cultural/sports/arts opportunities available in Los Angeles. It is a major trek, on very congested freeways, to reach downtown L.A. The city government seems to enjoy putting road blocks in front of anybody wanting to remodel. If one has a house on the beach he/she must also contend with the California Coastal Commission which can be and usually is a challenge to say the least. Neither Santa Monica or Malibu have the sense of community that exists in the three beach communities. Malibu in particular is a community housing large numbers of very rich nimby's If I were moving to the west side of L.A. it would be Manhattan, Redondo, Hermosa Beaches. It might also consider Culver City which over the last few years has gone through a major gentrification.
  6. Beautiful face - Beautiful body - Beautiful Smile. I often wonder just how long guys like Franky moments of fame last and how they end up financially when those moments come to an end.
  7. You might want to consider contacting some local escorts who appears to be using professional photographs that you admire.
  8. Of the three adjacent beach communities, Manhattan, Redondo and Hermosa Manhattan is definitely the most upscale and the most expensive. Numerous Hollywood and local sports celebrities have homes there. Many have paid huge prices to buy two or three small adjacent lots, tear down the existing little houses and build towering mansions. Traffic along Pacific Coast Highway through the three communities can be brutal especially in the summer. During the summer months simple things like grocery runs MUST be planned out and especially timed in order to avoid major congestion. These communities are not well located to the Southern California Freeway system and thus driving into central Los Angeles for cultural and/or sports events can be somewhat difficult. Additionally the cost of living in California is outrageous but shoudn't be much worse than that in New York City. Even with all of these negatives Manhattan Beach is definitely still a damn fine place to live.
  9. It's interesting - he has thirty photos posted - all very much alike. He claims to be versatile and lists a multitude of activities he's into, yet he doesn't have one cock or one ass shot posted. That seems strange to me.
  10. Another thing you might want to consider is when you read reviews here of escorts who you might be interested in hiring is pay SPECIAL ATTENTION to how the reviewers describe themselves. I have always looked for reviews written by guys closer to my own age rather than those written by thirty year old studs. You might want to look for reviews written by reviewers who self describe themselves as heavy. Thus if a reviewer who describes himself as heavy praises the escort there is a good shot that the escort will likely relate well to you. Just a suggestion.
  11. Realist you need to understand that you don’t have to do anything. When you state that, “Nobody else has to inform escorts of their physical attributes beforehand, so why should I?” you are correct. Nobody has to, HOWEVER, many of us DO simply to avoid embarrassing situations later. I have been hiring escorts, on a regular basis, for over fifteen years and I ALWAYS describe myself in our early communication. I am especially careful to include my age, soon to be 79, so if the escort happens to be an ageist he can opt out of meeting me early. In all of my years hiring only one escort ceased communicating with me upon knowing my age. Your refusal to mention your weight to a potential hire is a serious, silly mistake. By not doing so you create a situation where you are terribly nervous and up tight about how the escort will react when you meet. Additionally you set yourself up for disappointment if the escorts happens to be weight conscience. COMMUNICATE and stop feeling that by doing so you are being forced to do something the rest of us aren’t.
  12. In New York I have always like the Beacon Hotel on Broadway (https://www.beaconhotel.com). The rooms are nice sized and they have small kitchenettes. I is a relatively easy walk to Lincoln Center and a block away from major transportation options.
  13. Very true Pensant!!!!!
  14. I remember when I was a kid I was terrified of being called a "faggot/fag". Now I use to term all the time referring to myself. I know most escorts are offended beyond words if they are referred to as a "whore". Yet I have known escorts who regularly refer to themselves as "whores". With those guys I refer to myself as a "whore monger" not a client. The same goes when referring to a new escort as "fresh meat". Some are offended beyond words and others could care less. As I've gotten older the less likely I am to be offended by these types of words. In the old Patrick Swayze film entitled "Road House" Swayze tell another character that he shouldn't be offended by being called a "cock sucker" because they are simply two nouns combined to elicit a specific response. Damn I've always loved that line. I simply refuse to allow others to rattle my cage and take control of my life by using these types of words in referring to me.
  15. TruthBTold I didn't mention the deviled eggs because even though I make the disgusting damn things I refuse to eat them -- I absolutely and totally hate deviled eggs. Frankly I find it impossible to understand why people like them. Hey Truth I'm VERY much looking forward to seeing you this year.
  16. Great question RyanDean. It's about time that I posted the weekend events for all to review, so here goes: Thursday/Friday, April, 16th/17th – Guests arrive in Palm Springs. There are no planned events on these two days. Attendees mix with each other at the various hotels. Most will be staying at either INNdulge or the Canyon Club. During the evening there are all sorts of activities for guests to enjoy in Palm Springs: excellent restaurants, strip clubs, a karaoke bar, casinos, etc. Saturday, April 18th – During the day people are on their own. Many spend time around the hotel pools socializing with new and old friends and enjoying the Palm Springs weather. At 5:00 pm everybody meets at a local restaurants (in the past Trio) for a get acquainted no host dinner. The dinner usually last about two hours. After the dinner guest are again free to enjoy the many delights of Palms Springs either alone or with new or old friends. Sunday, April 19th – This is the weekend’s busiest day. During the morning people are again on their own. Beginning at about 1:00 pm Oliver holds a HOSTED pool party at his home. There will be everything under the sun to drink and tons of food. All the food and drink is provided gratis to all attendees. At around 7:30 pm there is a farewell no host dinner at a local Mexican Restaurants. Monday/Tuesday, April 20th/21st – Guests depart Palm Springs hopefully after a wonderful weekend spent with a group of fun and like-minded guys. P.S. Any of you guys who have regularly attended these Palm Spring Weekends PLEASE feel free to jump in and add your comments regarding the above events. Additionally any of you newbies considering attending PLEASE feel free to ask any additional questions you might have.
  17. Well BaronArtz I don't think I'd consider him an over-the-hill old fart BUT I do agree with you that $400 an hour is insane. If his rates were reasonable I would consider hiring him during his Southern California trip. However, I'm accustomed to paying $500 to $700 for two (2) hours of play time PLUS an additional hour for a meal. I wish him luck getting that kind of fee out here; he'll need all the luck he can get.
  18. No mutual oral?
  19. Greetings Ryan, If you go back through this thread you will find information on a number of the "gay resort" hotels available. The opinions regarding those hotels are strictly my own. Frankly if I were staying in one of the resorts it would be INNdulge. A goodly number of attendees stay there and really like it -- as do I. Now if you would like a place a little more basic and "raunchy" then you might want to consider the Canyon Club. Again a goodly number of attendees stay there and really like it. As far as dress goes TruthBTold nailed it. Palm Springs during the winter is a snow birds escape paradise. "Resort Casual" is just fine even at some of the finer dinning venues. Frankly at my age (soon to be 79) my mirror doesn't lie to me so at the Sunday Pool Party I keep my cloths on. However, a number of our younger client types and a number of our escort in attendance "skinny dip" which is very decorative. The spirit of the entire Palm Springs Weekend is "CASUAL FUN". I am very much looking forward to meeting you.
  20. One of the sad results of our polarized society today is that we have a tendency to speak and not to listen. When a person say he or she is a progressive, a liberal, a conservative, a Christian, a Roman Catholic, etc. we immediately attribute, to the speaker, the qualities WE association with those groups. We frequently do not take the time to determine just exactly how the speaker defines those words as we are only interested in how WE define them. I have a very good friend who considers herself a devout Roman Catholic. She attends Mass weekly and is a frequent reader at Mass. With that information in hand some people make immediate assumptions one in particular which is totally incorrect. Even though she considers herself a devout Roman Catholic she is also a major contributor to several prochoice women’s organizations. Her definition of what constitutes a devout Roman Catholic certainly does not have to agree with what constitutes a devout Roman Catholic in the mind of others. We know from previous rentmen ads that Mr. Danielz considers himself a conservative and a Christian. I’m certain that he has a definitions for what those terms mean to him but there is no certainly or necessity that his definition and others are the same. The only way to understand his definitions is to sit down and discuss them with him in a congenial, adult manner. Now I much as I might be interested in getting together with Mr. Danielz it isn’t likely to happen simply because he does not list kissing as something he is into – too bad because I even live in his area.
  21. Just Bumping this thread to pressure every one who is planning on attending or even considering attending the 2020 Palm Springs Weekend and has NOT yet made hotel reservations that it is time to make them NOW. If latter you cannot attend you can always cancel your reservation. Remember that Coachella is the same weekend and the longer you wait the fewer the number of room will be available and they will be the most expensive ones.
  22. I love the guys look and he is in my neck of the woods. However, the three deal breakers for me are that he doesn't list kissing, he doesn't list oral, and he does list PNP.
  23. Frankly Guy Fawkes I have never so much as implied that I would discontinue supporting this site. I would definitely like to see it continue as I enjoy many of its forums. However, as far as the escort site is concerned, I personally, would feel no great loss if it were to fade away and disappear.
  24. Well latbear4blk I'm afraid we're going to have to agree to disagree regarding the value of reviews. I still think they are worthless. Hopefully you will be attending the Palm Springs Weekend this spring. and we can sit around the pool on Sunday and discuss (argue) our points of view.
  25. I have been an active participant on this site since the days of Hooboy. I have also been a monthly financial contributor to the site for a number of years. At one time my principal interest was the reviews – no longer. Since Daddy separated the original site into two sites: the Review Site and the Forum Site I find that my interest in the latter has diminishes greatly. If, tomorrow, Daddy permanently closed down the Review Site I would continue to support this Forum Site financially because if I want information about a particular escort this is where I go for it NOT the review site. Additionally I enjoy a number of the other forums that make up this site.
