Matthew Lawrence dedicated to curiousnomore.

Congrats to Cheryl Burke and Matthew Lawrence! The couple tied the knot at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California, on Thursday, in a ceremony attended by family and friends. Included in Burke's bridal party was matron of honor Leah Remini and Dancing With the Stars alum Kym Herjavec, who threw Burke's engagement party last year. Remini, meanwhile, hosted Burke's bridal shower in March. Burke and Lawrence's star-studded wedding comes a year after their engagement on her 34th birthday last May. Lawrence, 39, popped the question with a beautiful and sentimental ring incorporating the diamond that Burke's late father gave to her mother. While speaking with ET last October, Burke revealed that she wasn't going to be teaching Lawrence a dance for their wedding. "We may never get married if I teach him how to dance!" she confessed with a laugh. "He might run away!" "I just turn into a different person when I'm teaching, so I'm a lot harder," Burke explained. "I'm not mean, I'm just like... that's how I was coached, and it was just the reality of it. Everything, it's like, 'This is how it is, and if you want to be better, you know, this is what you need to do.' So it was tough love." Burke and Lawrence first met during the 2006 DWTS season, when Lawrence's brother, Joey, competed. They started dating, but broke things off after a year. They reunited almost nine years later, in 2017. -

University of Oklahoma fudged alumni endowment rates for 20 years: magazine College students aren’t the only cheaters. For two decades, the University of Oklahoma has been falsifying alumni endowment rates, U.S. News & World Report announced. The magazine, which ranks universities in its highly regarded annual Best Colleges edition, stated the Norman, Okla.-based school offered “inflated data on its alumni giving rates for two decades.” U.S. News & World Report then announced Oklahoma would be unranked in its 2019 edition because of the incorrect data stretching back from 1999, reported CNN. The university originally said its two-year alumni giving rate was 14% but later informed the magazine that the correct number was really 9.7%. “We appreciate the work of U.S. News & World Report and continue to have pride in the top rankings of several of our programs,” said Oklahoma University’s interim president Joseph Harroz. “Rest assured, our university has learned from this occurrence and is working toward the goal of achieving future rankings for 2020 and beyond that reflect OU’s excellence and academic success.” U.S. News & World Report claimed the wrong data affected Oklahoma’s placement in the rankings for best value schools, top public schools and best colleges for veterans. In 2018, the university had been ranked 97th-best in the Best Colleges survey — its debut in the magazine’s listing of the top 100 universities and colleges.

This mother duck marches her babies through a New York hospital every spring This mama has all her ducks in a row. Like clockwork, a mother duck from upstate New York marches her new babies through a hospital in the city of Canandaigua every spring. She did it again earlier this month and staff at the local Thompson Health center in Ontario County were prepared with signs and a camera to capture all the action. “Every year, without fail, a mama duck chooses one of the enclosed courtyards at our M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center to lay her eggs and take care of her babies,” Thompson Health posted on its Facebook page. “She lets us know when she’s ready to go by tapping on the glass, and this morning, it was time for this annual rite of spring.” The hospital noted that mama duck follows the same path every year and staffers help guide them along by holding large signs to prevent them from getting sidetracked and possibly wandering away from the hall and into rooms. “She has us trained,” one worker said, according to the post. The waterfowl family, which included 13 ducklings this year, marched towards the light coming from a door down the corridor held open by assistant nurse manager Betsy Willard. “The family headed out into a large park-like area behind the facility,” Thompson Health shared. “Good luck, guys. We’ll miss you!” This story just quacked me up!
