At first I got him confused with Frank Capra and I was pissed that someone could be bi-blessed (well, bi- anything). I really don't know his work so I will definitely check it out. Yes, we will be lucky that we have the Ansel Adams photos to prove that things looked the way they do. I am not sure if presidents can undo national parks (I think only Congress can do that) but if there is a way you can be sure our president will do it. My Italian cousins live in San Benedetto del Tronto on the Italian Adriatic coast. I have visited them and spoken to them about retiring to the area. They have spoken to me about the beauty of the Croatian coast and the easy ability to take ferries to the beaches. I never knew this. I believe that much of Austria, in particular Vienna, was destroyed during WWII. I recall going into meticulously restored buildings and being amazed at the "before" and "after" pictures. Prague, on the other hand, I think by agreement of the powers (because of its architecture) was spared much of the destruction.
