I am from Illinois (still live here). When I was growing up he was one of the Senators from our state and because he was a Republican he differed from most of the politicians in my realm. I was from Chicago and thus he was distinctive. But then again he was not a Daley Democrat. However, even though he was a Republican he was a politician that could represent the state because he was moderate.

I would not count yourself just yet. People end up not being able to attend for all sorts of reasons and thus have to cancel their resort/hotel rooms. I am not sure when an absolute count for the restaurants, etc., has to be in but in some ways it probably is simply an add another chair. You should be able to get that info closer to the event itself. April is a wonderful month and the attendees love meeting new people or old attendees. Like other meetings, you spend so little time in your room you can base it on that. You end up drinking or laying out near other people's choices.
