My thinking is that I put what was charged since a tip is optional. If I put $200, guys might assume that was the price. 

I have a NO deposit rule. My concern with deposits is that they solely benefit the provider and offer no protection to the client. Additionally, there's a privacy risk and the possibility of creating a paper trail that could come back to bite you later. Since most providers don't require a deposit, I prefer not to pay one.
