a 35-minute massage is basically just a long handjob. Change my mind.
Kinected replied to Ludo's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I look at it as more of a "Who do you think you're trying to fool?" cynical observation. I mean he's not wrong. However I'm not spending 60 minutes in traffic for that. Enough guys clearly are though for it to be an option. -
Yeah, there are a few options in Atlanta and my time and budget just can't stretch to try them all out. Ryan is good looking but he's not the only good looking guy here and there are regular traveling visitors who are also competing for their time. I'm sure these guys all have their own types when they are out and about on the prowl so I can understand some may not like one body type versus another but if you're putting yourself out there open to the masses, then it's not a good look to start cutting good paying people off. I mean, the whole point is to get paid so if a guy is 70 and 450 pounds or 25 and 180 or 43 and muscled, it's all the same money. I was under the impression that it is these guys regulars that really pay the bills and the one off customers are just extra so if it were me, I'd rather go with the sure thing. The few threads here about Ryan all show the same pattern of him cutting people off.

It's a business. There's a huge ass sign off of Cheshire from Lenox Road. No link. http://cdn.broadstreetads.com/assets/1c2d0f44-99d2-48a2-b801-1eab1ef632a4.png

Has anyone been to the Gary Massage place off of Cheshire Bridge by the Taquieria del Sol? They advertise as having male therapists, 4 hands options, and a table shower. I'm wondering if it's worth the time to try it out.
-
I tried scheduling with him twice and he just stopped responding. Like I thought people were trying to make money? So I have moved on. Really like his body type but don't understand why someone turns away business. I'd rather be a few people's dependable regular where I know I'll get a quality massage with no drama.

I would think that massage rates would change based on the market one's in? For example, if the massuer is traveling and normally charges 100/hr but looks at the local competition who's charging 140 but he's clearly more muscular/better looking/unique ethic background for the area or whatever metric) than the locals, shouldn't he raise prices accordingly? For example, if he's getting a lot of bookings, could he then consider raising prices for the rest of the trip or just take note for the next visit? If a guy's a little thinner, average or chubby (not saying that there isn't a market for these body types because there is) going to a market where guys are charging his 140 from his market but they are in better shape or more classically attractive also charging that. Should he not consider lowering prices a little to attract more attention while he's there? Especially if he's "Available Now" for most of his stay. I'm basing my thinking on how certain jobs pay more or less depending on what area of the country you're in.

I tried Mike over a year ago. It was OK. But the most memorable thing was he used baby oil and it was awfully slippery getting off the table and into the shower at his extended stay place. Also he'd just finished cooking. I scheduled maybe 2 hours before that so it smelled like chicken and broccoli stir fry. I honestly don't remember the massage. I didn't find it worth repeating. But he was nice and personable. Chea... Affordable enough to try it out though, YMMV.

I like the new age / Asian sound. Music with lyrics or instrumentals that I know the lyrics of take me out of it. I like to drift off. I absolutely agree about the phone/iPad speaker sound quality. A decent quality Bluetooth speaker can be bought for $25.00 or less. Especially for those traveling guys. Also I hate commercials. 10 bucks for a streaming service can be written off at tax time. Or spend $.99 for a sounds of nature track.

He's smoking hot.

I remember when he was in Atlanta earlier this year. I didn't see him but when I was trying to figure out when I'd have time, he was marked "unavailable" for more than half the time he was here. So I never followed up with him. Sounds like not much, if anything, was missed.

I normally visit guys at their incalls. I never pay less than the posted or quoted rate. Usually just 10-15 more than whatever it is. I don't carry a lot of cash so I tend to not withdraw much more than the quoted rate as I usually pay in cash. When I opt for a debit card payment I'll tip a little more to make up for the service fees and " inconvenience" of it not being cash. I figure if you're working from home, you already have overhead you've considered in your rate. Since I'm a regular for a few providers, always prompt, and don't cancel, I also feel my being a sure thing and reliable is a benefit to all parties involved. Also since I'm consistent and reliable, I have gotten extras or more attention unprompted, not every time but it has happened. I take that as both of us getting comfortable with each other and familiar. Being friendly, warm, hospitable, and nice goes a long way with me. I have had massages from guys who had good technical skills but didn't come off as being friendly and I still tipped them but I have not and don't plan to return.

Is there really any expectation of privacy at these spas? If everyone has paid the same price they should be able to use the facilities as well. As long as you are not inviting yourself into other people's spaces or glaring at them I don't see why someone would have a problem. If the place is packed and every area or room has people in it, are they just gonna leave or keep migrating until they find the emptiest space?

A lot has been discussed here : https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/recommendations-for-atlanta.121814/

I am seeing "top notch" in reviews a lot lately and can't help but wonder if this is an entendre or not? If not I'd probably just use a different term that indicates the providers are good but doesn't remotely allude to anything. Or maybe I'm naive?lol. Edit... I actually used it myself I realized. Now that I'm aware I'll be sure to course correct.

Well Tim would be worth that but I'm talking about base rates. After reading reviews of some of the guys who are considered lack luster who are charging what's basically about $2-2.75 a minute, I am not seeing why they are at that price point unless it's about escorting and if that's the case, fine but there's very few guys I'd consider paying just to rub for 10 minutes and move to a hookup. I can hook up for free. Then you read that these guys don't even get nude or they lack good skills. There's a price point where I feel things are worth it and where things are not. There's 4 of 4 guys I'd consider trying who I have not yet, out of them, Indian Jason doesn't give me that he's worth his price as I consider him "new". I've tried contacting Ryan twice and got no response. Tom is way outside of the perimeter from me and my schedule hasn't lent itself to schedule with Ronin yet. There's definitely tiers of service for Atlanta and Tim is top tier for sure. But some guys can't even get just therapeutic right. And I'm at the point where I'm leery trying very many other people even though I like variety.

Is there any masseur in Atlanta worth 250 for 90 minutes? That's asking a lot for "just" massage.
-
Those prices don't look strictly therapeutic. But clearly people are paying it. He's hot though.

I hired Mike a while ago. He was available at the time. It was OK. Nice, thick beefy body. He's very nice as a person. Used baby oil which I am not a fan of. It was slippery. Small extended stay type of studio apartment set up. He had just finished the cooking so his place smelled like the food which was a minor negative. That said it was an OK massage for the most part. I just haven't been back. He's priced fair for what it was. I haven't heard anything positive recently about Zach. Mixed reviews about Ash. Out of the four, I'd go with Mac. His reviews seem consistent. Ash would be second and since he'd got a rent men profile, he likely can fulfill your request.

I always let them know I'm omw or running a little late. Sometimes traffic isn't something you can do much about especially if you you are not familiar with traffic patterns at certain times of the day. He should not have projected his frustration over the previous client who didn't show up on you. That wasn't your fault. 15 minutes isn't even that long really. I have had small talk after that lasted as long. If he's booked up so tightly that he's running them in with 15 minutes to spare that's his fault for poor time management. Plus some guys like to rest/shower before the next client. I probably wouldn't repeat unless he was really good or if you reached out and explained to him that you feel shorted and he's apologetic. Since he's had time to calm down some you might be able to recover a better session and discount. If he was not good I'd just not worry about it and find someone else.

Let's just call a thing a thing. There's a lot of victim blaming here. All of these same types of comments come up with women say they are raped. Everyone is not going to react to this situation the same way. As mentioned, some clients just want a quick and cheap escort experience dressed up as 'massage'. However, some just want a massage with sexual elements that don't necessarily include penetration on either side. Another layer to this is many of the 'therapists' really are only offering sex with maybe 10 minutes of massage and with the previously mentioned clients looking for just that, it stands to reason where some of the ambiguity of it all leads to situations like the OP. If someone had some sort of prior experience that gives them some aversion to anal interactions, I can definitely understand freezing in that moment and not knowing what to do. Maybe some form of PTSD comes up or a flashback could prevent someone from speaking up. We have to understand that not everyone is going to have the same reaction as we would. We're in a vulnerable position in these situations... on our stomachs, naked, head in a rest and not able to really see anything. Some may think that if he's muscular and strong he could make things worse or that they have no power to say "no, stop" or that they didn't want to have the MT upset with them. The MT didn't have the right to do this. Point blank. The lack of empathy some guys have doesn't even surprise me though. And yeah, sometimes there's mutual attraction between the MT and the client and one thing leads to another and it's ok. But just like masseurs who don't want you to perform oral on them, clients don't always want to have these 'full service' experiences. This is about respecting people's boundaries. Hopefully the OP and others can feel empowered enough from this post to vocalize what they don't want if this happens to them.

He looks like he's into saline injections.
-
So I guess it depends on if he's attracted to you or not or maybe things changed and he is trying to get repeats? That's good it worked out though. YMMV, what some of the guys do with guy A they don't do with guy B.

@bloop One of the guys I see the most said most of his clients are 40+ year olds so it'll probably depend on how in tune to tech they are as far as app payments go. I know with Cash App you can submit a request for the amount so it's all there. However I'd usually confirm price at the booking and then again after service rendered. I'm pretty tech savvy so it's not an issue for me but 9 times out of 10 I use cash unless I just don't have time to get to an atm and be on time. Also some guys will add the surcharge to use the app into your price so there's the convenience tax you'll be paying. Looking at how some structure their price tiers, I'd be inclined to agree at least for about 40 percent of them. It seems things can get wonky at the price per minute where the rate is actually way cheaper at 2 hrs or noticing higher at 1 hr. However who am I to tell someone what their time and energy should cost? Some guys are worth it for me others are not. However one guy I use has several gigs and other businesses. I think he doesn't even need to do massage at all for his bills, he just likes to doing it. It's probably just spending money for him and he probably likes touching guys so it's win win. Rather have providers who enjoy it versus guys who don't really like doing this work but want "easy" money.
-
Payments probably depend on the person and their money culture. I usually hand them the money neatly folded in hand. Never had anyone count it in front of me. One guy had to special paper weight for the money. Also since some take CCs, they have to present you with the app so you can swipe. Then the guys who use Cash App or PayPal. It can really vary.
