Thanks, @Charlie. I've removed "1935" from that post. I should have paid more attention to the car. The image, taken by Cedric Wright (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cedric_Wright) can be found with various dates attached to it, 1935 being the earliest, but "in the 1940s" being both less specific and more likely.
