I've been in that situation. After a while, it led to frustration and resentment. From what you wrote in your initial post, you're at the point of frustration, thus you sought sexual release outside of the marriage. I understand and empathize with you. It's unfortunate that your husband has lost interest in sex, and that he may be denying you something you want and need. I'm not certain that you should have to choose between a relationship and sex. Shouldn't a marriage be able to provide both of those things for you? In the end, maybe it comes down to the question Ann Landers used to pose: Are you better off with or with him?
